Apologies Brenda and Chris, Trevor and I stayed overnight with you on our way up to the Isle of Mull in August and only just realised we didn't put a review on. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay with you and absolutely loved your upstairs lounge and all the facilities within it. The breakfast was huge and beautifully cooked. Thank you both for all your hard work and welcome.

we used Buchan GH as transit for Scotland trip. we got pretty late because of the August bank holiday weekend traffic but the owner stayed up for us and welcomed us with a big smile. showed us our rooms. they rooms were great and very clean. i was pretty impressed. the breakfast was amazing. Brenda makes the best omelette ever. to top it all of i forgot my mobile phone in the GH. the owners took the pain to call me and inform me that i forgot it. i picked the phone up on my way back from Scotland.

the beds were comfortable and the owners were extremely friendly. i had the greatest time in that GH although i wish we had some more time. :)

This guest house is in a pleasant location, overlooking a bowling green, and has its own parking area at the back. The rooms (we were a party of 3 in two rooms) were spotless. You could see that the owners had made an effort to provide extra little comforts like white fluffy face cloths, a varied biscuit selection on the tea tray etc. The beds were very comfortable, the ensuites compact but perfectly functional and clean. We were served an excellent full English breakfast (with haggis). There is also a sizeable sitting room for guests, equipped with magazines, television and tea and coffee-making facilities. TVs and tea and coffee-making facilities also in the bedrooms, plus free wi-fi.

Three of us used the Buchan Guesthouse as a base for walking in the Moffat area. The accommodation suited us perfectly -- very clean and comfortable, and our hosts Brenda and Chris made us most welcome. They took our wet clothes and dried them. The excellent breakfasts kept us going pretty much all day. Our room was easily big enough for three men and there was a very comfortable lounge for relaxing in over a Tunnocks teacake or a raspberry truffle (on-tap).There was good W-Fi. It was an excellent base for a walking holiday and it would be an excellent overnight stop if travelling further north. Most of our fellow guests had been before, so that was a good recommendation.

Room Tip: Who knows? We just got a good room.

My wife and I and our small dog 'Baxter' stayed here for 1 night in August on our way to Western Scotland.

Really good Guesthouse, smallish room but perfectly clean and comfortable, again small bathroom but good shower and very clean.

The owners of Buchan have done a great job and were excellent family hosts. Good breakfast in the morning.

I would recommended staying here if your in Moffat, we paid £70 per room, which was a competitive price.

Room Tip: Our room was on the ground floor, no noise even though it was near to front door and opposite dining...

A fantastic guest house and we cannot fault Buchan House at all. Warm welcome; comfortable, clean room. A marvellous guest lounge and a fabulous breakfast. It is perfectly situated for a short stroll into Moffat, where there are plenty of places to eat; even on a unday evening. Nothing really else to say.
Just the job!

Spent three nights here enroute to Edinburgh Festival. Lovely friendly hosts and warm and welcoming accommodation when the temperature dipped. Hearty tasty breakfast to start the day . Would highly recommend this B and B situated in a quieter part of Moffat.
