The room was comfortable and clean, the en-suite had underfloor heating, the breakfast was a very tasty dish of scrambled egg with smoked salmon, and the welcome from Paul was warm and friendly. 5 stars!

We have stayed at several hotels in Moffat High Street, but this September we decided to go for a bed and breakfast, we found the best accommodation The Queenberry. On arrival Paul made us very welcome with tea and cake and showed us to our room which was warm cosy clean and very well decorated. We stayed for two nights with a choice of breakfast which was excellant. Paul and Denise were very helpful with information of places to eat. On our return from our evening meal we slept well because the bed was so comfortable and it was very quiet (Moffat High Street can be a bit noisy at times) but it is only minutes away from the high street. We will definitely go back to the Queenberry House.

My wife and I had decided to wed in Mofatt Scotland, and needed lodgings close by the ceremony. Paul and Denise made both our stay and our wedding day, most wonderful. Aside, from the excellent breakfast, immaculately clean and modern rooms, Paul and Denise made sure we had everything we could possible need to arrive at our wedding at near by Auchen Castle, including an escort to the correct turn. We were married 4000 miles away from our friends and families, but we couldn't have felt more at home.

A fantastic friendly welcome in a beautiful house. This is a good location as a stop off point on your way further north in Scotland or as we did to break the journey home. Our room (Thistle) although rather small was very well furnished with everything you needed. It was bright and clean with the added luxury of a heated tiled floor in the bathroom. Paul greeted us with a lovely pot of coffee and cake on our arrival in the guest sitting room. He tried telephoning several places for us a dinner reservation but they were busy on that weekend. We opted for the Bombay Cuisine Indian restaurant in the main street where we would recommend the buffet on a Sunday evening.

How lucky were we? Our first ever stay in a B&B and we found a gem. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean to say nothing of the comfy bed. Paul and Denise's natural ability to make you feel welcome was apparent from the minute we entered the house as was their helpful but non intrusive nature. Our two night stay was a delight and which meant we were able to sample two of their most excellent breakfasts. We would not hesitate to highly recommend Queensberry House to any person travelling in this area. We sincerely hope that we get the opportunity in the not too distance future to return to this wonderful haven of calm and traquility.

Everything positive that has been written about this B&B is true. The attention to detail that Paul and Denise have gone to is exceptional. If you are used to staying in 5* hotels, then you are going experience an even higher standard when you stay here. Facilities are very good, breakfast a delight. What more could you ask for? The only downside of staying here is how you might expect other B&Bs to be, and they are very unlikely to measure up to this one!

Stayed a night en route to Highlands. First rate in every way. Warmly welcomed by Paul and Denise with offers of assistance with cases etc.. Lovely clean, immaculate bedroom with very comfortable bed. Paul took time to make us tea on arrival, to welcome us in the lounge and to give us a spot of local history plus a guide to restaurants and places to visit. The lounge even offers a free glass of sherry as an aperatif before going out to dine. Short walk to good restaurants. Quiet location. Very good breakfast. We would definitely stay again en route north, but would stay an extra night another time as Moffat is, to us, an undiscovered place worth exploring. Thanks Paul and Denise. You clearly enjoy what you do and make everyone feel at home.
