I found this Days inn just brillant and the first time I have ever written a review having stayed in lots of places . We travelled with two teenage boys and the free wfi was a great hit . The room was very warm very clean comfortable and we ate just across the way with again a great choice and a Whs smith for a paper mags etc . Thought the water machine and cups in the Hall was fantastic . I actually found it very peaceful it was great on a cold winters night after an emotional day to stop of here . well done staff keep up the good work

I found the Days Inn good.

Basic, cheap motorway service station hotel. Despite the price I expected the room to be clean and functional - instead there were cigarette burns in the bed sheets, stains up the wall and a bathroom that made me want to close my eyes when I used it. Not the worst place I've ever stayed, but wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed for the one night whilst travelling to Scotland. As usual the bed was like a banana and the walls paper thin. Thus the usual poor sleep. Not really sure why I keep doing this.

Having said that, it was clean and functional which is what I would expect. Everything was extra, internet, etc

I have stayed at a number of Days Inn properties and always been delighted ....this property was the worst, in my opinion. The room was bare - reasonably clean but there was no sofa, very little work space and the staff were just acceptable. A very average stay at a higher price than average

Stayed here as a stop-off on a long journey, should have kept driving! Having booked in advance we expected a simple check-in. Not so. After waiting 20 minutes for the two family groups in front of us to be checked in we were allocated a family room. Here the sofabed was completely broken, we were then allocated a room where there was no electricity to any of the lights. The third room was fine, quite spacious but very tired (there was a good range of TV channels to distract from the room). Later that evening another guest entered our room with a keycard, He had also been allocated that room! The receptionist had not changed our room number on her computer.
Breakfast was taken in the Welcome Break services next to the hotel. The premises here were filthy, dirty floors and uncleared tables, at 7.30 in the morning!
Complaining was unfruitful. The receptionist could "only apologize". The comment card left completed in the room was not acknowledged nor was the online feedback.
Needless to say we will not be returning and will avoid all Days Inns in future.

We used this Days Inn to visit relatives in Lockerbie. On arrival, the receptionist (Elaine) was very helpful and explained all the facilities of both the hotel and adjacent service station. The room rate at £49 was very reasonable for 3 of us and there was no charge for the dog, unlike other hotel chains. The room was clean and quite smart, with a digital LCD TV and plenty of towels neatly placed on the bed and heated towel rail. There were 3 adults in the room, but that was not a problem as there were 2 double beds in the room made up especially for us. In the morning after a comfortable night, I made use of the refreshing power shower and helped myself to a complimentary newspaper. I will definitely be back!
