Located on a Welcome Break Services area is this basic chain hotel which was very inexpensive. Breakfast was included and parking and wifi (in the rooms) are included. Several fast food restaurants are located a 2 minute walk next door in a food court. Very easy location to find. The community of Gretna is a 19 minute drive away with full services and a historic blacksmith shop. Located withn Gretna is an outlet village. Staff (Jenn in particular) were very helpful and knowledgeable. A full breakfast is available for a surcharge. Very easy access to the A74(M). A gateway location to the Lake District and the Scottish Borders. The facility is pet friendly.

During a road trip and getting late stopped at nearest hotel/motel on the tomtom, very cheap last minute about fifty pound I think bearing in mind we got there at like 9pm, very clean and a good reception with leaflets, complimentary newspaper, books to read with a charitable donation and sweets/chocolate to buy at reception 24/7. Room was basic but very clean and of high standard, only stayed one night but good for just a bed to sleep in. A nice days inn.

Opposite a service station with free car parking.

Room Tip: Good for a clean basic bedroom. Once you've checked in you can move your car so you can see i...

We were starting a 3 week Car touring trip of Scotland and being a Bank Holiday needed somewhere easy on Good Friday at the base of Scotland to get to and Plan our thoughts and route for the trip also to be guaranteed accommodation on what can be a busy weekend. Arrived to a very pleasant receptionist with a pleasant personality and willing to assist in giving us knowledge of the local area attractions. Stayed for two nights. The accommodation was very clean and very tidy (only down side No Chairs to sit on). Did not use the service area but frequented a local Inn in Gretna which did real ales (only one in the close vicinity) and ate out and about in the local towns at cafes Inns etc Would definitely return to the Site but not to visit Gretna Green, which was far too commercial and tacky . The accommodation was in a very fresh and welcoming site. With access and egress from the location without having to use the motorway.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way up to Edinburgh. The hotel itself is clean & the staff are friendly.Typical services with the hot food being unhealthy,we did go into Gretna Green but it wasn't appealing atall so we drove back.
would stay here again especially for the price.

we had to stop here while working in the area was the second hotel of three we had to use that week ...hotel itself is set back from rest of the motorway services so was in a quiet spot..the bedrooms where ok comfortable and just basic ideal if your only stopping over night but could be a bit of letdown if stopping longer. receptionist was very pleasant always had a smile on her face and helpful...now the plus point is they have microwave in reception was is a good touch for heating up and ready meals pies that you may have,Now the downside is having to take breakfast in the main service station you get issued a ticket for your breakfast from reception and give it in but all it entitles you is to a breakfast bacon egg hash brown beans sausages..tea or coffee but if you wanted toast or slice of black pudding you had to pay a extra 25p each for this..and is typical service station food would i use again yes if only stopping one night

Stayed here just for one night on way to the lakes . Had a lovely room with two single comfortable beds . Room and bathroom fitted out for disabled people . Was far enough from road to be quite quiet so slept really well . Paid for breakfast when we booked in . Was £7 plus 25 pence for toast with free tea or coffee each which we thought was reasonable and was very good . Would stay here again as it broke the journey up and was very comfortable .

I was driving to Edinburgfh from Devon and needed a cheap, dog friendly stop of part way up. This hotel is right of the main route into Scotland situated within the local services but it a lovely quite locatio with plenty of greenery surrounding it.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room decor was a bit dated but the room well supplied with plenty of towels, pillows and wash products in the bathroom.

Bath a little on the small side but this would be my only complaint.

Plenty of parking and food close by.

I would use this hotel again and recommend it to others.
