“The Cat got the Cream”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

Good place to have a brew and some fab Ice Cream. Okay for Kiddies and smaller children. I doubt that teens will like, maybe for the Ice cream - but that's about it. Just off the A75 - but most of the shops etc in the area stock the Ice cream.

Good to hear that you enjoyed our tearoom and sampled our delicious ice cream. Our adventure playground is definitely enjoyed by adults and teenagers as well as younger children (see review on 19th February) and we find that teenagers particularly enjoy the pedal karts and the bicycle skills areas. If you’re not sure whether there’s anything here for you, take a look at our website or watch our videos on You Tube.

“Outstanding day out.”
Reviewed November 8, 2012 via mobile

We have visited Cream of Galloway on numerous occasions and have always had a great time.
The visitor centre is well laid out and very accessable to all. The food in the resaurant was amazing and a reasonable price too. Outside, there is an adventure play ground we had a great laugh, especially the kip line, fun for all ages.
The area is unspoilt and stunning, perfect if you need to relax and what a perfect place to do it.
Cream of Galloway Ice Cream is without doubt the best, my favorite being the yummy Caramel Shortbread and my husband just loves them all.
So if you happen to be on holiday in Dumfries and Galloway a visit to Cream of Galloway is an absolute MUST.

“Good ice cream, shame about the service”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

The ice cream is great, but the way customers get served needs looking at. A queueing system would help ensure customers get served in correct order, and hopefully in better time.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your constructive comments. I’m really sorry you were kept waiting and I’m sorry if we served others ahead of you when you had been waiting longer, that shouldn’t have happened. Over the years we have tried various methods of managing the queues at busy times and I’m sorry we obviously don’t have it quite right yet. We really don’t like keeping people waiting and we try hard to avoid queues from developing. We make our best estimate of how many staff we need according to how many visitors we expect to welcome each day – this is quite a challenging task and sometimes we get it wrong.
I’m pleased to know you enjoyed your ice cream and I do hope you’ll be back for more and that our customer service is at its usual high standard on your next visit.

“Nice day out”
Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

We visited Cream O'Galloway with our 2 kids aged 4 and 8. Lunch was good. Kids played in the indoor play area as it was raining. We then did the ice cream tour which was excellent!! Very enjoyable - ginger bread ice-cream was fab!!

It’s so good to read that you had a great day at Cream o’ Galloway despite the rainy weather. I’m glad to know that your kids made the most of our unique indoor play area, and that you all enjoyed our Ice Cream Experience – the ice cream always tastes amazing, whatever the weather! Next time you visit, book for the farm tour and then you can meet the cows that give us the milk that we turn into ice cream.
