Description: Case Mia has rapidly earned a reputation as one of Dumfries and Galloway's top flight restaurants, serving a consistently good quality of cuisine with a decidedly modern European twist. Open seven days a week and situated literally minutes from Dumfries Town Centre, this delightful place is set in a secluded corner on the banks of the River Nith. Casa Mia has about it an air of elegance, refinement and sophistication that encourages return visits.Under the expert management of Butrint Gashi, Case Mia benefits from his wide experience at Le Cafe du Jardin in Covent Garden with the result that the good people of Dumfries and Galloway find this restaurant highly desirable not only for intimate occasions when a good impression is required, but also for social and business events that demand efficient and competent handling.

My brother in law and my sister recently visited this restaurant for lunch. They do not have internet so when we spoke on the phone recently & being new to Trip Adviser myself I suggested we leave a comment. My sister is disabled and is very reluctant to go out to eat but she was persuaded on this occasion as it was a special anniversary. When her dish was served it obviously became very apparent to the waitress my sister would struggle to cope so she discreetly, considerately and without any patronising approached the table & offered to take the dish away and have it re-served more accomodating to my sisters needs. Dealing with peoples disabilities without offending or causing public humiliation takes a great skill one not often found in such places for various reasons, lack of interest, immaturity or even just being blatantly inconsiderate of other peoples needs!!!!! You must be commended not only for the above success in such a delicate situation but also for the excellent food, clean surroundings, ample car parking and not firgetting, your disabled toilet facility. My sister and brother in law can't thank you enough for restoring their faith in public humanity having been highly offended in the past and not only will they return in the future, I also may visit too.
Many thanks.

We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday at a luncheon at Casa Mia. The staff were very friendly an obliging. I got the count wrong and 2 extra guests showed up. Although they were absolutely full, they were able to find extra chairs and were very discreet at adding them to our table. The food was excellent, and everyone told me how much they had enjoyed their lunch.

Dined at The Casa Mia on Monday evening with my husband and our two grown up sons.
From the very moment of arrival, we were all made to feel extremely welcome by the general manager as well as the waiting staff. Very helpful, very pleasant, very professional.
We were offered a drink in the bar prior to being seated which we accepted as there was no feeling of rush whatsoever. The two boys loved the black pudding salad and my husband could had indulged in the venison starter all over again!
We all opted for the fillet steaks as our main dishes as it was a special treat and we were overwhelmed by both the quantity and quality of the dishes.
The overall experience of the evening came as no surprise as we have dined here before and on summing up each visit, it absolutely has to be said, The Casa Mia is, by a huge margin, head and shoulders above all else in Dumfries.
Highly highly HIGHLY recommended!!

A brief visit to Dumfries lead us here. The food was delicious, couldn't fault it, service was attentive but not over bearing. The actual place was very romantic and should we ever be back in the area we will definitely book a table here!
Ps the wine was lush too :)

Enjoyed a wonderful evening at Casa Mia, to celebrate Burn's Night.
Diners were welcomed into the restaurant by a piper, which was a lovely touch..
Entertainment was provided by pupils' from Dumfries High School, who were all excellent.
The meal was superb. Four delicious courses followed by coffee.
Staff were efficient and friendly. My partner was delayed because the weather conditions were horrendous (very heavy snowfall). Staff took this in their stride. Diners had finished their first course when we were being shown to our table. Because there was entertainment between courses, we were able to enjoy our tasty soup (leek and potato) and then move on to the next course (haggis, neaps and tatties with whisky sauce) with the other diners. The main course was chicken with mixed stuffing, potatoes and gravy followed by Stickie Toffee Pudding (yummy) and ice cream.
A very good evening out. Would highly recommend the themed evenings at Casa Mia
