I visited here last week with my partner on a spur of the moment whim. We were very pleasantly surprised at the atmospheric interior, it was quite busy, very friendly service, no rush to eat on a busy Friday night. My partner had potato gnocchi with a creamy mushroom sauce, which she though was delicious. I ordered the New York chicken, which was served, with what looked a smallish amount of fries. However, the meal was really filling. I was absolutely stuffed after my meal, and felt like this for a good couple of hours afterwards. The chicken was done to perfection, and there are absolutely no complaints about the food or service. Only minor gripe is that we ordered a bottle of house red which cost £11-12 and turned out to be a bottle of £4 Seven Seas wine, which was a bit annoying. However that's the only bad comment I have to say. All in all the price for the complete meal was reasonable & the food was cooked to perfection & so, so tasty & filling. It's not in the main part if town, but it's definitely worth a visit & I look forward to going back and trying one of their steaks.
