Greeted by a smile. Choice of table sizes or soft seats. Fantastic choice for coeliacs or gluten intolerants. Even a choice of brown or white g-f bread! That's a first for me and previously unheard of. Very good menu and beautifully written on the old blackboard. Choice of g-f cakes too. What was there not to like? Great atmosphere, quirky china, lovely staff. Can't wait to go back and feel I'm not being weird with food because I'm coeliac.

On the strength of good Trip Advisor reports we decided to pay a visit to the tea-room.
Situated at the end of Brooke Street, you enter the old school building & head up the stairs.
We were not disappointed, finding attentive staff, good food & reasonable prices.
The soup followed by scones/cake were excellent.
Well worth a visit.

Lacks a sign to give you a clue where it is but found it in the end...very quirky, missmatched crockery & cutlery & like sitting in my old classroom BUT pleasant & certainly different. Very pleasant & helpful staff, great homemade soup & sandwiches. Go on try it its good & fun

We visited here this week with friend and was greeted by smiling staff who were very attentive throughout, We chose from the breakfast menu which was different from the norm and had scrambled eggs on toast. It was first class. Coffee excellent and a wide variety of teas also available. We have been here before and service and quality has been consitent. Keep it up and every success for the future

A friend and I had lunch here yesterday, her first visit and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We both had broccoli and stilton soup and a roasted vegetable wrap then followed that with banana and walnut loaf for her abd Rolo millionaires shortbread for me......all yummy!! Great service, wonderful food, very reasonable bill, what more could you ask for?
