“Fantastic day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

Visited this farm with my Mum, Dad, three younger sisters (20; 14 and 4) and my own and my sisters fiance (8 altogether).
We all had a fabulous day! Staff were very polite. You enter through the shop and I advise that you buy two bags of pellets because feeding the goats and various other animals is so much fun. We spent literally an hour and a half of the whole visit just feeding the wee cuties!
There's a lovely wee cafe on site but plenty of space to bring your own picnic too. You have to pay separately for the pedal boats and quad bikes but these are reasonable and well worth a go.
The grass slides are great fun and between the 8 of us, we managed to spend 45minutes enjoying these. The nice man monitoring them even let us have a go of spraying them with the water hose as we were the only ones using them at one point.
There's a very large play area including a castle type fort that younger kids will adore.
There's also the straw barn with rope swings which sparked a rather lively competition in our wee family group!
Was a fantastic day out and would definitely visit again!

Great for children, slides, bouncy castles, boats, animals and varied play areas. Needs to be a nice day to visit Mabie, plenty of activities for children and good cafe too.

“Great break with kids from M74!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

We visited the farm park yesterday as we were trying to find a good place to take the kids as a break from a 7 hour car journey. We found Mabie Farm Park online and thought it would be a good place to let our kids expend some energy before continuing our journey.

I have to say that our experience was so positive I wanted to take to Tripadvisor immediately to sing the park's praises!!!

Firstly the staff were so welcoming. They asked where we had been and where we were going and said the kids would definitely be tired out after their visit - how right they were!!!. Firstly we spent some time feeding animals and then we went to the (huge) play area and let them run around, play on the trampolines, swings, ride ons, slides etc etc. They absolutely loved it!!!

As we were taking a break from a long drive we decided to get some food in the tearoom and as it was a lovely day we sat outside where there were lots of toys to entertain the kids and a wonderful child friendly menu with so much choice!!!

When we went inside we discovered that there was also a small area with toys in the tearoom so we moved in there as it got a little cooler to enjoy a coffee before continuing on our journey as it approached the park's closing time.

What I would say is that at no point were we made to feel that we were overstaying our welcome - even though we didn't leave until closing time. It was such an enjoyable visit we will definitely go back and we will recommend this place to friends!

“great day out”

This was our 4th year visiting with my daughter and her family, we always come here as the staff are so warm and inviting and always make you feel welcome and despite the amount of visitors they have they always seem to remember us. We always eat in the cafe as we find it great value for money and a great selection. There are plenty of activities that we can join in with the grandchildren and love seeing there faces at each activity. I must say we actually count down the weeks til we go on holiday and this is the one place we talk about all year round, Truffles being a main topic and Bob on the choo choo express

“Wasn't great.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

After travelling down the little lane in the middle of nowhere I was surprised to even find the place.
The entrance for our family of 5 was £33. £30 of that I used Tesco clubcard vouchers.

Walking through the 1st courtyard seeing a few old cages that looked like they could fall down any second with a few animals stuffed in them, we went to a barn with sheep and cows in. The problem is all we'd seen at the side of the road for the last hour was cows and sheep.

The play barn was next and out again due to being mostly for toddlers
The kids had fun in the straw barn but it got busy so we went for a walk around the site a little more.

We found some Llamas and pigs (one pig looked so overweight that it barely could get up)

The bouncy pillow was fun until a big group came over and ruined that.

The grass slide was a disaster. my daughter went on it and came off covered in mud and washing up liquid! A guy at the top was spraying it with a hose and pouring liquid down it. Her jeans are now ruined!

The astro slide is no good for anyone over a slender teen. The bumps are hard and left our other daughter with bruises on her behind.

Due do having to upset kids we went to cheer them up with cake. This wasn't badly priced for this kind of attraction and was very enjoyable.

We next went on the paddle boats at an additional cost of £1 per person. This was fun but the pond was exactly that, a water filled plastic lined puddle.

The kids went and played on a few other bits but soon got bored.
We had left in less then 2hrs including stopping for a cuppa.
