Stayed here for one night to break up a longer journey. Room was newly refurbished, smelt clean and bed was comfy enough. pull out beds for the children were also comfy. Small telly, slightly bad picture but still watchable. bathroom adequate and very clean. Window ledge was soaking in the morning when we woke due to condensation but luckily did not drip onto my daughter in her bed underneath lol. No noise from outside, slept fine.
No cafe or places to eat on site but there are microwavable meals available from reception on request ( burgers ect). There is also a juice crisps and sweets vending machine at reception. there is a filling station next door to the travel lodge aslo and Just a couple of mins down the road is a table table restaurant. would stay again.

Room Tip: if your a light sleeper, ask for a room upstairs, we were ground floor and adjacent to the stairs and could here some comings and goings but we are not easily disturbed so weren't bothered by this.

Was really impressed by this accommodation. The hotel was very quiet during my visit. Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, spotlessly clean rooms. Superbly comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.

Very impressed with recent refurbishment of rooms - they are bright, clean, and have very comfy beds. Stayed two nights and slept very well. Good base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. Booked well in advance and got very good offer. Will definitely visit this Travelodge again. Handy hint though - if staying on a Friday or Saturday night and intend eating out in Dumfries remember to book a table in advance - we hadn't and it took us ages to find a restaurant that could fit us in.

As with Travelodges you normally get a good room with good showers. This was no exception but saying it is Dumfries could be misleading. It is well over 1.5 miles outside the town so a car is essential if that is a reason to stay here. Staff very helpful and even managed to get my colleague a downstairs room due to her "knees".

We booked to stay here after a ferry trip to Ireland, it had been a long day and we were tired so the very fast and straight forward check in was just what we needed, we were in the room within 5 minutes. The room was comfortable and clean, it's not luxury but then your not paying luxury prices. Although we had a room at the front of hotel there was no road noise or any other for that matter, I'd have to say we both had a great nights rest. Check out was just as quick and were left feeling this was a pleasant experience in every way.
