“Good atmosphere and service”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

I recently went to this restraunt for sunday lunch with a friend. The premises were clean, and we choose one of the booths at the back of the restraunt. We choose our food and had to order at the bar. The staff were very pleasent and helpfull. When the food arrived it looked very good, was hot and had good portion sizes. However when i cut into my burger it was still raw in the middle. I caught one of the waitresses eye and she came over straight away. She took the food away and couldnt appoligise enough to me. The manager then came over to appologise again and offerd us free drinks and puddings. I was brought another full plate of food and this time the burger was cooked very well. My friend had the pasta which she felt was overly chessey and had to order a side portion of chips as the pasta only came with garlic bread. Overall we had a pleasent enough experience here i think it makes such a diffrence whenever you have happy and attentative staff, even if the food was a bit disapointing. I would go back again.

“Good food, usually quite accessible”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Go early in the evening and you will find very good food and helpful staff. They have a wheelchair lift to get to the main part of the bar which is usually working but occasionally out of service however there are tables and chairs at door level too. The food is good pub grub, value for money and tasty. Be warned though, later on they have loud music upstairs and occasionally they show sports, football etc, so pick your time carefully if you want a quiet meal.

“Sectarian Quiz Master”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Nipped in to this bar on wednesday 26th sept. sat down to watch a game of football. Quiz Night was about to start when the whole pub had to listen to, on 2 or 3 occasions a tirade of "loud"sectarian bile aimed at the tv screen by from who, from what i could make out as being the "Quiz Master". Needless to say i only had the 1 pint and changed pubs for the second half. There is absolutely no place for this kind of sectarianism in this day & age, it is totally out of order and if this is the kind of establishment that lets this kind of thing go unchallenged i'm sure it won't be very successful.

“Not good”
Reviewed September 12, 2012 via mobile

The place was dead, literally only me and my boyfriend eating. Which is never a good sign. Had soup to start with which had absolutely no flavour. Then macaroni which is equally as bad. Dissapointing, won't be back.
