Visited with family including our young daughter (and was shocked to find they don't have high chairs?! But had a sign reading "We know chocolate is exciting for children but please keep children under control at all times for safety reasons" erm, well maybe supply high chairs then?!)
We ordered lattes and a cappuccino (but got all Lattes disappointingly!). Wanted an afternoon tea but at 11.00am there were only 5 pre packaged sandwiches (that Cocoa Black buy in premade) left to choose from and by 11:10am they'd all sold out!
We had a chicken salad (preformed cheap catering chicken), a ham salad (nice ham in this one) and a Brie and chutney (the highlight of the sandwiches).
Also ordered a selection of cakes; (the display of cakes, pastries, chocolate fancies and other deserts in the main cabinet looked fantastic & lovely to see high quality Moven Pick ice cream too). The Russian Trail patisserie was a walnut whip shaped delight of soft fluffy mouse coated in chocolate and fine nuts on a gorgeous soft chewy brownie base. Salted caramel mouse was also a winner. However the Ginger Cake came in two generous wedges, clumsily wrapped in messy clingfilm? Fine if you were making a family packed lunch for a day out but hardly what I'd expect to receive in a supposed upmarket establishment run under the name of the UK's top pastry chef!
Lots of retail shelving in the store was totally empty which gave the eminence of a strange 2nd hand furniture store?
All that ontop of tired furniture with torn seats and scruffy tables, worn out toilets and white interior walls and doors that are in serious need of a scrub (disgusting to see the faceplates on doors that staff are using, filthy from multiple hands of public and staff touching them - it doesn't bare thinking about the cross contamination of food bacteria and other pathogens between these people every day!).

We will definitely NOT be revisiting, or recommending to anyone!!

Chilli chocolate very spicy! Beware!
Still enjoying the chocolates we brought home.

Handmade chocolates and cakes to die for. You've got to try the gingerbread....simply wrapped and simply gorgeous!
