Called in on the off chance that me and my pooch might be welcome.

Had good cake and coffee, very nice décor, very friendly staff. Will definitely come back for more of a meal.

With the layout, it might be possible to create a woofer welcome area as there are lots of us out there and we are fed up being relegated to sitting outside on benches in the cold and damp.....

That aside, would be a nice away from it all break for anyone from Edinburgh.

Stopped for a bite to eat on return leg of a circular route from Fife to Gretna and back.
Made very welcome and the food was plentiful and very good. The whole place felt and looked fresh and clean.
The Mosspaul Inn deserves to succeed and I would certainly recommend a visit.

Visited here with a hangover form a wedding the night before. Had a massive roast beef late lunch and it was massive with all the usual trimmings and it was only £4.95! EH! Had a home made dessert after and was full as a wilk! (very full). Great hosts great food great location (just on the Scottish Borders / Dumfries & Galloway border)

My partner and I booked in to stay at the campsite adjacent to the Inn. We visited the pub and enjoyed two lovely meals. The Sunday roast was excellent value at a fiver each if you book in. We were warmly welcomed by Alison and Eddie who were great company and brilliant hosts. The only drawback was that the pub was shut on the Monday. But we will definitely call back in if we are passing through. Great food and ambience. Thanks guys!

A relaxing and reviving stay just 2 hours south of Edinburgh. Somewhere to blow away cobwebs with a warm welcome at the bar to keep out winter chills. MossPaul Inn serves great food at a great price but also with a touch of class. The host and hostess are attentive and more than happy to help with any queries about the menu, walking in the area or the state of the nation. A great place for a group weekend or a romantic tryst.
