Damascus Drum is an excellent find in a little street in Hawick, quality of the food and coffees were really amazing, proper "home made" stuff and the cakes are actually "home made" by a lady who delivered the yummy goods while we were there. Staff treats you like you are guest in their home. Can not fault this little foodie heaven really. Parking might be a little problematic but there is a giant free car park about 5 minutes walking distance and disabled car park just round the corner (1 minute). The cafe doubles as a second-hand bookstore and a rug store. Some of the rugs are actually cheaper than what we would have paid in Turkey, and there is a very interesting selection of books. Prices are lot cheaper than London, and considering the quality, definitely a good bargain. There are two tables outside by the river for the ones who would like to have a smoke or just sit by the river.
