We stayed here two nights while on a Rabbie's tour. We had a lovely large room with a wonderful view of the waterfront. It is a bit of a walk to the restaurants, but we had good weather so it wasn't a problem.

I only stayed one night and I found the the room to be a good value. I would suggest that if you are getting off the ferry and have some luggage with you and no transportation, it is advisable to get a taxi from the ferry port since it is a fifteen minute walk. Taxi fare is under 5 pounds.

My room was small but clean. I didn't mind since it was only one night. The bathroom was a bit claustrophobic but again it was only for one night. There was Wi-Fi in my room which was a plus. This b&b did have some nice views from the upstairs lounge. Should I stay here again, I would definitely get a bigger room with views of the bay.

The breakfast was good and there was porridge on the menu. The host was very nice and informative when asked about places to eat in the area.

Overall, it was a nice experience to stay here because of its value and convenience to the ferry and buses.

Eric the owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. The bedroom was exceptionally high quality with lovely views across the bay. The room and en-suite batchroom were large and very clean. The breakfast was very good quality and plentiful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.

Had such a good week in Mull we didn't want our holiday to end, so we decided last minute to stop a night in Oban on our way back to Glasgow, if we could find somewhere reasonably priced and available. After calling several different hotels to compare we decided, based mostly on price, the family run aspect, and location, to book a double room at Wellpark House.
It was exactly what we wanted. A warm welcome at check in, a nice room and a good hot shower (after a week camping on Mull), and off we went for a seafood dinner to cap it. Had the most excellent of sleeps, not a sound all night.
Breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked, mushrooms not stewed, grilled tomato cooked through, smoked bacon, eggs perfect, good strong coffee, and lovely accommodating service into the bargain. My wife had an oak smoked kipper of the finest quality, so she told me......not my thing. :)

Right, I'm rambling, it's my first review, ever.

Given such a choice of accommodation and pricing in a place like Oban, it's great to find somewhere that ticks the boxes. Cheers to the staff, and thanks for the extra coffee.......

The guest house looked neat and clean from the outside as well as reception untill we entered the room. I think the mattress had to be replaced ten years ago and our surprise came that evening when goiing to bed we had small "bugs" in our bedding. The bathroom was also not up to scratch and this is definitely not "Scotland Standards" as we encountered at the eight other establishments in Scotland where we stayed before this B&B in Oban. Really need some work!!

we stayed here last night and were very pleased with our choice.
it is well situated on the esplanade, 5 to 10 minutes from the town centre and with fantastic views out to sea from the front facing rooms.
it is a lovely house, very well furnished with apparently 19 bedrooms.
the breakfast room is really nice and breakfast itself was of good quality, served attentively.
we were pleased we stayed here and know that no one would have a problem with it.
we would certainly use it again when in Oban again.
probably half of all the guests were on holiday from around mainland Europe, so it's name is well spread.
don't hesitate if you are thinking about it.
