we have just returned from 3 nights at the Columba Hotel, Oban. the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, although it has minimum impact upon customers. Our room, 202, well presented and in excellent condition. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was buffet style and our only complaint was that on one of the days of our stay, the breakfast was cold. The hotel is very good value for money, great location and were comfortable. For eating out, the "Light of India" is very reasonably priced and the food is wonderful. Also, on a Thursday evening, the Caledonian Hotel, near the ferry terminal do a curry, with rice or nan, and a pint, or a glass of wine for £7.00!!!!. It was wonderful and so were the surroundings.
