“A bit crammed in”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

The coffee shop is small with as many tables as possible crammed in. Coffee was OK. There were people eating an early lunch at the table next to us and it looked OK.

“Shout out!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

This place needs a shout out! We barely spotted it, and decided to go on a quick cup of coffee while we wait for our driver and the rest of the team. It's nice and cozy, tiny and lovely. Absolutely adorable! Something different for a change, after all the big coffee house franchises. A friend of mine got a nice little pot of tea, and being a tea lover he was absolutely thrilled. Being a coffee lover, my choice is obvious. We tried the jaffa chocolate cake thingie- i believe they prepare it by themselves. Yum! Yum! Yum! We saw other people ordering sandwiches and salads, and we wished we had more time to sit and have some decent lunch, but what can you do... Next time... For sure!

“High quality and home baked”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Came to Oban today and noticed the advert for Julie's at the end of the street, opposite the distillery and decided to have lunch there with my wife.
So glad we did. The food was of a very high standard and home made/ freshly prepared.
We both had soup and a sandwich, my wife had leek and potato soup with a roast ham and Arran mustard sandwich garnished with salad and plain crisps(chips) and I had French onion soup and an Orkney Cheddar with homemade apple chutney sandwich.
They were both delicious and we thoroughly recommend Julie's to anyone visiting Oban.

“Disapionted”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

I met family visiting from Australia here for lunch as they have heard all the good reviews, however we were very disapointed as we ordered toasted sandwiches and when they arrived they were black, burnt not very nice it actually made me loose my appetite. All the staff were lovely but none of them came to tell us what the soup of the day was as we could not see a board anywhere to tell us. It was maybe not the best choice of place as we had a very elderly lady with us and it was just a bit too cramped for her to get in and out of her chair without bothering other customers.

“Nice little tea room”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Tea and coffee served in nice Denby mugs which you dont see very often.

Slightly dated and could do with a little re-fresh inside.
