Took the dog to the beach, had a spiffing time on this lovely beach in the nice clear water. Great views across the bay.

Just back from a stay in Oban and a visit to Ganavan sands.
Shallow, gently shelving bay, white sand and sparkling sea. It honestly could have been the south of france.

A nice little bit of sand overlooking the Sound of Mull, we were there on a lovely day and we could have been in Spain.

A mile north of Oban town centre are a scattering of 3 or 4 beaches with free parking along the road residential) and a large car park at the end of the road where the biggest beach is located. There is a new residential development at the end but very good taste and doesn't impact on the quality beaching at the end.

The beaches are delightfully sandy and covered in seaweed in parts but plenty of areas for running around with dogs/children/spouses. The main attraction was the cleanliness, quietness and beautiful surroundings along the coast. The views over to the islands and coastline is breathtaking.

We love this beach. There is always something to see. Toilets and occasionally an ice cream van. We sit and read the papers, watch the boats, windsurfers and kayaks. Laugh at the antics of the children (and sometimes others!) and take a walk on the beach. Perfect
