“Exceptional Guest House accommodation with fabulous views over Oban bay.”

Dunheanish is a special place to stay. One window has a magnificent view out to the islands and tonight there is a beautiful red sun going down . A lovely Spring evening. The other window has close up view of the floodlit Macaigs Tower. The decor and furnishings are stylish and comfortable and the hospitality is first class. Definitely the best Bed and Breakfast accommodation I have found in Oban and I have been coming frequently for 12 years in various hotels and guest houses. Highly recommended.

This was our first ever stay in a Bread and Breakfast. The room was one of the best we had ever stayed in. High ceilings, 4 poster bed, meticulously clean, warm and with a magnificent view over Oban Bay. The welcome from Linda put us at our ease immediately and above all we felt we had privacy. We experienced a beautiful red sunset over Oban out to Mull. In the morning we had a superb breakfast prepared for us by William. He asked at one point "Had we seen the whale?". What whale? "The blue whale that had been staying in Oban Bay". 10 minutes later it surfaced from the depths and proceeded to circle in the middle of the bay for a further 10 minutes while we finished breakfast. Great coffee.
Needless to say we will return. Hope the whale makes it back safely to the Atlantic though.
Can't recommend this B&B enough. Free WIFI topped off a thoroughly professional approach.

We stayed at the Dunheanish Guesthouse over Easter. The rooms were lovely and clean, beds comfy, breakfast great! And most important of all we were treated so hospitably by William and Linda. Definitely a place to return to. Especially if you get to stay in one of the rooms with a view of the harbour. We even got to see a whale in the harbour. However, for the sake of the whale we hope that does not happen too often. I, however, hope to return! Thank you so much for making our stay memorable!

Room Tip: 5 or 4 have the best views. Room 4 is a stunner!

We stayed for three nights over the Easter period and absolutely loved it. We were treated exceptionally well throughout our stay by hosts William and Linda, who provided us with lots of tips on what to see/do/eat in the local area. Our rooms (5 & 6) were immaculate and incredibly comfortable - with room 5 offering a glorious view of Oban bay (where we were lucky enough to see a sperm whale!). Breakfast was thoroughly satisfying, with plenty of options, and the Cadbury's Creme Eggs that came with tea and coffee in the room over Easter were very much appreciated! When we next return to Oban, we will be sure to book in here again!

Room Tip: Room 4 & 5 seem to have the best views of the Bay!

We really couldn't fault the location, hospitality, room decor and size or any other element of this wonderfully run B&B in Oban. We were in Room 3 with great views out across the Harbour. A lovely touch staying at Easter was a daily supply of Cadburys Creme Eggs with our tea and coffee. The bed was large and comfortable and guaranteed a great nights sleeop. The owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating (wine cooler and glasses not a problem!). Even experienced whale watching from the breakfast table (sightings not guaranteed..). Yes it is up a hill but the very nature of having the view requires it! Please do stay if you get the chance.

Room Tip: Room 4 if available!

Our group of five adults occupied three rooms for one night in May 2012. This charming B&B was the highlight of our British Isles trip, and is quite possibly my favorite place I've ever stayed, period. The view from room #4 is spectacular... it's hard to beat a comfy chair in front of that big bay window, with a cup of hot tea (or nip of Oban scotch) and a good book. William was a wonderful host and breakfast was delicious. We can't wait to go back someday!

Room Tip: It's impossible to overstate how amazing the view from room #4 is!

Our second stay here; this time in the brilliant room 4 with its panoramic views to Mull. A very warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for William & Linda - including a card and chocolates on my birthday! The breakfasts are wonderful, the house is spotless and rooms lovely. We are already booked in again and would recommend Dunheanish to others

Room Tip: Room 4 definitely the best
