We stayed here for 4 nights and from arriving the staff were courteous and friendly. We had room 219 which was very good. The taster menu was very good with excellent choices that changed every night. We did however go for the a la carte on the last evening and the sirloin was excellent. I have to say the staff in the dining room work very hard but are not intrusive when your dining also in the bar we had excellent service from the bar staff.

We booked by telephone having been given a good report by friends.
Accommodation and food were excellent . The 'taster menu' will absolutely satisfy you. All in all magnificent value for Dinner Bed and Breakfast with full use of the Spa facilities and 2 beauty treatments for my wife.
We shall return.

Room Tip: Lift is a bit noisy so try for a room away from it.

Myself my husband and son stayed in the hotel for the first time last weekend.
We were very disappointed when we seen out room. It was like something from the 1970's. the carpet was ripped and frayed, the wooden bath panelling was falling off, the bath was all chipped and sink all stained. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in. It was so old and worn that we could feel ever compressed spring in the mattress. The padded chair in the room was so old and dusty that when I sat on it, a puff of dust and dirt appeared. The inside of the window was covered in black mould all the way round the edge and the place stunk of mustiness.
Breakfast in the morning was average and way overpriced. 1 sausage, 1 slice of bacon, one fried egg and one very thin slice of black pudding was £17.95 which would be fine it was the best my husband had ever had however it was far from it. As a vegetarian there was cereal or toast...that was it!
We definitely will not be paying £150 for another night in the place. The location of the hotel is perfect I have to say, very picturesque.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to complete you review, I am very disappointed to read your comments, please accept my sincere apologies. I am even more disappointed that we were not aware of your dissatisfaction during your stay, I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. I am also very sorry that you find the breakfast to be expensive. This is included in all of our breaks here at Loch Fyne, and without listing the options does include an array from the cold buffet and an exhaustive selection of your choice from the hot section. a full vegetarian hot breakfast is also available on request.
I do hope that you will allow the opportunity to correct our mistakes at some point in the future.
Kind regards
Marc Gardner
General Manager

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and although the room was tired and probably due for refurbishment we felt that this was reflected in the price. The public rooms and the restaurant are lovely and the hotel occupies a fantastic location. We used the pool and hot tub and these were very good.

All of the meals that we had at the hotel were excellent and we enjoyed some of the best hotel food here that we have had in the UK. The six course taster menu was delicious each evening with the dishes being quite inventive. Breakfasts were excellent too, as well as the full Scottish breakfast a number of other more interesting options were available. The bar and restaurant staff very efficient.

The hotel was very good value for money.
