Stayed one night (Friday 23rd August) on the romantic overnight break , every thing was ok except for the car park view at the rear and noise from the kitchen emptying bins , slamming doors and industrial bins at the rear , this didnt exactly make for a romantic break.Would also like to comment on the hot tub we found this very unclean with a big piece of human skin and various other dead insects floating around in it !

We generally stay at The George just along the road, but due to the music festival and its popularity we couldn't secure 3 consecutive days. We had often seen the Spa and thought it looked really nice, so decide to push the boat out and treat ourselves to 3 days, given that it was our Wedding Anniversary. We booked on line and my husband advised them that it was our 1st Anniversary so anything they could do to make it more special would be appreciated. We arrived and were immediately pleased with the entrance and reception. We were greeted warmly and given the keys to our room on the first floor. We proceeded to our room, which we found to be incredibly small, smaller than a high street chain of Hotels. This was a real surprise given how much it cost per night. We went back down to reception and credit to the gentleman who was working, he did show us another room, one twice as big with a lovely view across the Loch. Despite the fact that we had to pay for an upgrade, we paid it. The facilities are lovely, the pool spacious although try and remember that there can be kids in it some times, which wont always soon couples looking for some kid free time. There is a sauna and steam room, which can comfortably fit around 4 people in each and an outside Jacuzzi, which we didn't enjoy as the water was too cold. The facilities are clean and enjoyable and although we didn't take advantage of the spa treatments, the pool facilities were more than adequate. The let down sadly comes with the food. We decided to eat here on the first night, as the menu looked really good and by the rest of the hotel standard, you would have expected something quite decent. The starter was good, we both shared mussels, which were fresh and tasty. My husband had the beef and said it was okay, presented rather like you would expect in a pub with onion rings, chips, etc., as opposed to fine dining which we were expecting. I on the other hand ordered the lamb, which had virtually no meat on it, pure fat. It was so bad it put me off being able to anything else on the plate, which returned to the kitchen pretty much full. Despite this fact and despite telling the waitress about the meat, nothing was said or done to either replace it, or to simply apologise. The next morning we went for breakfast, always good to try a cooked one given how fresh and local a lot of the produce can be sourced. It came with a Pork and Sage sausage which was horrible, it was so overpowering. Now that could simply be my taste, so don't let that put you off, but it had no mushrooms, no potato scone, really salty bacon and no haggis, the one thing that The George offers and is delicious. The rest was fine though, nice service, very quick, lots of cold things to chose from. The next day I had the eggs benedict and those were perfectly fine. As I said, its a pretty mixed review, as we liked the room, eventually, not the food so much, nice leisure facilities, nice staff and good location, but not at that price. I always try and provide as realistic and broad a view as possible, as its easy to mark something down for stupid things, but when things disappoint, it does spoil the overall experience.

Room Tip: Upgrade for sure, if the first room we had is anything to go by, you'll find it small. We have s...

We stayed here for 2 nights dinner bed & breakfast including spa treatments- really good value for money. (We got a groupon deal which made it when better- although would still return and pay full price).

Good quality food, not as expensive as you would think- especially the quality of the food that is served you would certainly pay more in other hotels. Breakfast was really tasty. Good portion sizes.
Pool and spa facilities really clean and spacious.
Relaxing and beautiful scenery.

Stayed here before and loved it Back in Inverary but at different hotel Delighted to find that we could pay to use the leisure facilities as a non resident Hot tub outside, sauna, steam room and excellent jaccuzzi inside The best thing for me as a poor swimmer is the pool which is a nice four feet deep all along Suggestion to hotel would be the addition of a water cooler in this area Popped into lounge bar for a nice light lunch

We have just spent another very pleasureable weekend at the Loch Fyne Hotel. The setting is awesome , the village is lovely , the facilities are great. Lovely pool, sauna, steam room and outdoor jacussi.
Always a nice atmosphere , can be busy but never hassled.Staff very pleasant. We have been visiting this hotel for 13 years.

Room Tip: We prefer the new annex as the rooms are very spacious and modern. The old building can be cramped a...

Stayed on a ittison deal. Hotel was excellent. Nice location overlooking the loch. Dinner in restaurant was great but breakfast was better! Just a pleasant short walk from the hotel to the centre of the lovely village. Definitely worth a return visit.

We stayed for an excellent night and breakfast. I had the French toast and bacon with maple syrup which was scrumptious. The room was great and enjoyed the bath. Staff helpful and friendly, wifi good and lovely village setting. Ideal break when travelling.
