Stopped for coffee a couple of times whilst on holiday in the area, the staff are friendly, helpful & the coffee was lovely. The bistro has lots of different seating areas depending on if your having a meal sat at tables overlooking the loch,or like us just a coffee in a comfy seat by the woodburner with the paper. The shop next door has a very good selection of fish, shellfish game as well as luxury chocolates, jams, specialist sauces & chutneys.

If you've tried other Loch Fyne restaurants, this is where it all began....the original Loch Fyne but this ISN'T part of the eponymous chain. Large, but cosy and intimate, lovely service and great range of mainly fish dishes but enough to satisfy a hungry carnivore too!

I loved the fact that you got little tasters between courses. The meal was lovely & service was very good.

I was very disappointed in the Loch Fyne Bistro. I ordered a whole crab - it was about £10. It wasn't really prepared and I struggled to get anything to eat of it. I visited the Loch Fyne shop the next day and the crab that I had had the night before was on sale for £2.80! No music/atmosphere. A little cold. My daughter had Thai muscles - they were INCREDIBLY spicy - really hot - couldn't taste the muscles as the spicy sauce was just too much. Wouldn't go again - ever.
