Specialising in local seafood, the restaurant has held 3 rosettes for over 20 years and is one of the longest serving restaurants to be featured in the Good Food Guide, with a current rating of 6. Stunning views front the restaurant, of Loch Linnhe and the Morvern mountains and amazing sunsets can be seen, especially during the summer months. In the Spring and Summer it is also possible to enjoy morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea sitting in the garden, again with spectacular views. The hotel is open for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Coffee, lunch and tea are all available in the lounges, bar area, conservatory or in the garden. Dinner may be enjoyed either in the candlelit restaurant or in the conservatory with the ever changing scenery enjoyed in both.

My partner and I were fortunate enough to have dinner in the restaurant at the Airds Hotel last week. We had heard so many postive comments about the place that we felt we must try it for ourselves. It could not have been better; the staff we so friendly, yet professional and nothing was too much trouble. We both started with a ballontine of Foie Gras which was delicious, which was then followed by a white onion and wild garlic soup which was so full of flavour it left us wanting more! For main course I had Halibut and my partner had Sea bass- both locally caught. For dessert I had a selection cheeses which were beautifully presented from a cheese trolley whilst my partner had a Raspberry Souffle which I could help but taste! It was mouth watering. We then had Coffee and Petit Fours in the lounge chatting to other guests which were fortunate enough to be staying. Next time, I will as well! I could not recommend it highly enough. Looking at all the awards the restaurant holds I am not not surprised.

We have been aware of the excellent reputation of the food at The Airds Restaurant, so had wanted to try it for a long time. We finally managed to get there earlier this month and were not disappointed.

Although it was geting fairly dark when we sat down in the restaurant we were fortunate to be given a table by the window and the view was beautiful, looking out onto the loch with the mountains behind, topped with snow. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in what I would describe as a modern country house style and the service was simply superb.

My husband and I selected different dishes from the menu which they describe as four courses but which in realty is five, excluding the delicious canapes served with your pre dinner drinks and the Petit Fours served with your coffee. My starter of chicken liver parfait was the best I had ever tasted and the hand dived scallops my husband had were full of flavour and so obviousy caugut locally and so fresh. We both had fish as a main course and again it was caught locally and tasted so fresh with such delicate flavours coming through. The deserts were both exquisite with myself having a passion fruit souffle with home made ice cream and my husband being a chocolate fanatic, had a dark chocolate tart - he was simply in heaven!

As Airds is also a hotel we were able to relax in one of their beautiful lounges afterwards with coffee and Petit Fours, again home made, as one would expect from a restuarant with such an excellent reputation.

We came away saying that this was one of the best dining experiences we have had as the food is excellent, the service so friendly and simply perfect, the atmosphere was relaxed and the setting beautiful - We vowed to return in the Summer when the scenery will be even more beautiful in the evening as it goes darker later.
