Description: A Romantic Candlelit Restaurant serving locally sourced food using the best ingredients. Specialising in local seafood, the restaurant has held 3 rosettes for over 20 years and is one of the longest serving restaurants to be featured in the Good Food Guide, with a current rating of 6. Stunning views front the restaurant, of Loch Linnhe and the Morvern mountains and amazing sunsets can be seen, especially during the summer months. In the Spring and Summer it is also possible to enjoy morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea sitting in the garden, again with spectacular views. The hotel is open for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Coffee, lunch and tea are all available in the lounges, bar area, conservatory or in the garden. Dinner may be enjoyed either in the candlelit restaurant or in the conservatory with the ever changing scenery enjoyed in both.

“The best food in Scotland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

The Airds never disappoints. We have visited many times over the years and what is always good is the consistency of the place. Whenever we go it is nice to see familiar faces which is a credit to the owners and they are always to professional, welcoming and most importantly friendly.

The food has again consistently got better and better over the years and it should just be a matter of time before they are awarded a michelin star which they so deserve. We started with scallops and quail which were both amazing and then I had halibut and my husband had pork both of which were fantastic! Desserts did not disappoint either. The place is not cheap but worth every penny and is our favourite place in Scotland both for food, service and scenery not rivalled anywhere else

“Simply the best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Made feel very welcome from stepping through front door. shown into sumptuous lounge for predinner drinks and canopies. Quiet ambiance but restful rather than stuffy. Menu varied but predominantly fish which is not surprising given it's setting on spectacular west coast of Scotland. Every course was presented with intricate finesse and attention to detail. Fabulous combinations of flavour. You're still simply the best. Like the new decor in the dining room and beautiful outlook. Highly recommend even if a bit pricey

“Tester menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

We had a fantastic meal at Airds. WE both elected the taster menu and my wife also had the matched wines as I was the driver (boooooo!). The hotel is really nice, luxurious surroundings, real fires etc - the service is very attentive.
Although expensive, it wasn't as expensive as other tasting menus that I've had, the flavours were wonderful and the menu nicely balanced.
My only small criticism would be that the main dish (venison) could have done with being larger.

There you go - not bad if that's my only criticism.

“Great food, great service, great setting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

We had dinner on Valentine's night and it was faultless. In a cosy lounge with a roaring fire, we had a glass of fizz and canapés, followed by the seven-course tasting menu which was superb. The staff were friendly and professional, explaining each course as it arrived. The remarkable similarity to Martin Wishart's Michelin-starred cooking in Edinburgh is explained by the fact that the Airds' chef trained under him! The dining room has lovely views out over Loch Linnhe and the public areas have been tastefully and comfortably refurbished since our last visit some years ago; all in all a wonderful experience which, though not particularly cheap, does represent very good value.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

We decided to treat oursleves to a night at this hotel again and because it was so good last time our expectations were high and it met them all. We started with canapes in the lounge where drinks are served next to a log fire. When we were called through to the restaurant we were delighted with the beautiful decor which gives a very romantic feel. The chef is quite brilliant and I can honestly say every course was stunning and a good selection ensured both my husband and I were well catered for. The wine list was also excellent and the service and attention to detail were out of this world. We could highly recommend
