Do not rush, this coast line, take your time. On a fine day, and you have checked the weather forcast, head up to the Mull of Kintyre single track road. After passing views of farmland, and small cottages, you arrive at Southend. Take a break and enjoy a bite and tea at the tearooms. After refreshments, continue towards the Mull lighthouse road, passing a very interesting beach to the left, arriving at the car park on the right passed the Cave. Here you can take a stroll on a magnificent beach with small sand dunes,or maybe explore the cave or search for St Columba's footprint near the graveyard?
Make your way up to the Mull lighthouse road, twisting and winding its way up,with passing places.
Arrive at the car park, leave your car and admire the view or walk down the track which is steep at the begining, but is not so bad further down. I have never gone right down, but I always visit the monument of the helicopter crash victims, as mark of respect.
But not visiting this beautiful part of Kintyre is a waste, and if you don't, you for ever wished you had?
