This place is my favourite restaurant in carnoustie. When we eat here we always get take away so can't comment on the staff but the food is very nice. The menu offers something for everyone and offers set meal deals which is cheaper than buying them outside of the deal. The portions are large and very filling. Although i haven't eaten in the restaurant i do know that it can get quite busy, understandably, so booking in advance would be a good idea.

Thank Mitch A

One of the few very good Indian restaurants in the Tayside area. Staff are friendly and helpful and the quality and taste of the food is excellent. Very much worth travelling to Carnoustie to visit.

The restaurant although busy provided friendly attentive staff which complimented the excellent food. Think of visiting at the week-end it would be advisable to book a table. When we left there was a queue waiting for tables. Don't miss an opportunity to dine here.

This is the 2nd time we have eaten here and booked a trip to Carnoustie especially to go to this Indian.

Recommend that you book before going. We booked online for a Saturday night at 8.30 and had to wait 15 minutes for our table when we arrived as it was so busy. The food and service made up for this.

We had poppadum's and spices followed by the mixed platter to share and the prawn puree - both amazing (the platter would be enough for 2)

For the main we had a chicken achari masala and the most amazing prawn dish. I can't remember what it was called but the waiter recommended it instead of the one we asked for but we were not disappointed. They came butterflied with a side dish of a sauce of your choice - some of the best prawns we have had. The peshwari naan was lovely - not too thick - more thin and crispy - but I prefer that and a portion of rice.

The dessert of mango kulfi wasn't the best, was just a pot of frozen dessert

Lovely décor - dark colours and nice and romantic

Staff all friendly and very helpful (but busy)

Very reasonably priced - we were £85 total including, 2 starter drinks, a bottle of wine and water

We will be back :0)

Felt slightly uncomfortable, being English , regarding Scottish independence from one of the waiters.
