“Worthy 4* B & B Guest House”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

Excellent B & B. Spent 3 nights here and everything was quality. The shower worked, hot water and heating; choice of tea, coffee, hot choclate in rooms, together with biscuits and mint chocs. Small TV in room; bed very comfortable; decor excellent. Had a hairdryer. Large english breakfast, together with toast beautifully prepared. Selection of breakfast bars, fruit juice, yoghurts, etc. Butter or Margarine, marmalade, jams. Helen, the proprietor, made us feel most welcome.

Room Tip: We stayed in a double room, Room 2, which faces the sea.

Thankyou for your comments. Its good to get feedback especially when guests stay that little bit longer and they get to know that they can feel relaxed and happy in the homely atmosphere thats always that the Inishowen creates.

The owner met us at the door and realizing that we were all wet from a recent downpour had us immediately change and put our clothing into the dryer. Much appreciated! The facility is first class. Everything is new and of good quality. The breakfasts were well prepared and punctual. There is a nice sitting area for guests in the dining area to enjoy a visit, drink or TV. We felt right at home and highly recommend this B and B

Family of four given a very friendly welcome on the phone and then when we arrived. We split ourselves into adjoining twin rooms, both spotless and very tastefully furnished.
Made ourselves comfy at night - nice telly in each room - with nice comfortable beds too.
Excellent breakfast in the morning which Helen the landlady was keen to see we enjoyed and then was kind enough to allow us to leave our bag while we went off and explored Arbroath...and then a run down to the train station too, which was very much appriciated!
I'd have no hesitation recommending the Inishowen. Its to the south of the town but, if you are in Arbroath to enjoy the seafront, the 20-minute walk into town along the beach is just about right!

Room Tip: The front of the house is on the main Dundee-Aberdeen road and railway line, but this sounds worse t...

As a family of 5 we booked a family room and a twin room. We were staying for 2 nights as we had a family wedding to attend. Having never stayed in a Guest house before was unsure of what to expect ..... As soon as we walked in the door I felt at home. Helen greeted us with a big welcome. She took us up to our rooms and showed us where everything was. The rooms and bathrooms were fantastic! They were of a very high standard and had everything you needed for your stay and more! The cooked breakfasts were to die for and they cooked exactly what you wanted.... A great start to the day! Very comfortable, clean and friendly what more can I say! Try it for yourself ..... You won't be disappointed.

Just spent overnight stay at Inishowen Guest House and I must say we were impressed.
We were in the twin bedded room and it was spotless and could not fault any of the facilities in the room,or throughout the rest of the guest house. Could not hear any traffic noise from our room !!!
As I said we were only there for an overnight stay, but Helen, the owner, greeted and treated us as if we were there for longer. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a large selection to cater for all tastes, and Helen was frequently popping in to the dining room to see if we needed any top ups,
I think the price charged for this guest house reflects the standard of the rooms that Helen provides as it is as near to 5 star and we felt we got good value for our money.

The rooms were great, breakfast excellent but the traffic noise was constant.... very little sleep in the front room. Needs to improve the glazing before I could consider a return visit. Was on the expensive side compared to similiar properties we stayed at in the uk. In 4 weeks the most disappointing stay.

This will be the first time that i am aware of guests being disturbed by noise. Im assuming the complaint was from outside noise as the reviewer does not say.At £29 per guest per night including full breakfast and ensuite i dont think this justifies the term "expensive". The glazing is quality double glazing with never a complaint by previous reviews so i wont take up the suggestion of replacing it. Light sleepers normally have their own devices to overcome noise disturbance.
