We turned up on a Saturday night with no booking, and we're happy to be offered a table. The attentive staff were friendly, but not intrusive. With the single exception of the paella (which was more like tomato rice), our meals were lovely. The scallops and pork belly were beautifully seasoned, the calamari fresh, hot, and crunchy. My main, a special of the day, lemon sole, was beautifully cooked, and served with spring vegetables. Our desserts, a creme brûlée, and a cheese plate were very nice. All in all, next time we're in Arbroath, we'll be looking to book a table so we can return.
