From the first contact, Richard, the owner of this apartment couldn't be more helpful. He responded immediately to email and texts and met us on arrival to hand over keys and show us around. He was very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Booking was extremely easy and directions to the property were good. The apartment itself is in a detached Victorian mansion house situated just next to the banks of the river Dee. It was quiet with an almost rural setting but very conveniently located for getting into town and just five minutes away from a large supermarket and other stores. The apartment is very luxuriously appointed - all of the furniture, furnishings, kitchenware, appliances etc look brand new. It is decorated in an art deco type style and looks very glamorous and swish! It had everything you could possibly need for either a short or longer stay. There was a generous hospitality basket with tea, coffee, biscuits, crackers, cereal and in the fridge there was milk, butter, eggs, juice and yoghurts so if you are too tired on arrival to go out you wouldn't starve!
A very nice touch was 2 bottles of complimentary wine - one red, one white. We'd mentioned to Richard that we were staying in Aberdeen to attend our son's graduation from the university and he very kindly gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate and gave him a congratulations card!
The apartment was as described and was very comfortable and pleasant. There was more than enough crockery and cutlery and every bit of kitchen equipment you could think of. There were games and dvds in the cupboard and a large widescreen TV to entertain you. Wifi connection was very good.
All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will probably visit again in the future.
Liked best:
The apartment was luxuriously appointed which was a real treat for a short stay.
Liked least:
The bedroom was very hot (yes we did turn off the heating) and we would have liked to open the window - sadly it didn't open.

Dear Kay & family thank you so much for your review for Marks @ The Manor. I am delighted that you, your husband and 2 sons enjoyed your visit to Aberdeen it was great to hear your praise for the apartment as we have spent a lot of time hand selecting all the items from Marks & Spencer and I am so glad these were appreciated and enjoyed by you and your family. The M & S champagne – my pleasure Kay, I hope it added to the celebrations for your son’s graduation. We would be delighted to have you all back to stay again at Marks @ The Manor and hope to see you again shortly. Best Regards from The Marks @ The Manor Team.
