Solid tradition at Royal Aberdeen GC. Beautiful course and the staff are very welcoming. You do have limited times to play as a guest as there are distinct member times and guest times. If the wind is up, take lots of golf balls, because being of course is a challenge! I would play here again if I get this way in the future.

Our first round on a ten day trip-and played the afternoon we arrived from the US, so we were a bit tired. Nevertheless the staff were most welcoming and cordial. We had a nice lunch in the clubhouse before heading with our caddies to the first tee. A very challenging course, especially with the thick rough that has resulted from a very wet spring and summer. Caddies were very good and we very much enjoyed the course.

Stunning, awesome, big, scarey, long, tight, hard, tiring, frustrating, annoying, pleasurable, enjoyable, killer....just a few words to describe the course.
I played at the recent Grampian Houston ProAm at held Royal.
A lot of changes made to the course since I last played on it many many years ago. And not all for the best. Fairways are tighter and at the 5th hole, the fairway drops to an amazing 15 feet.
Hard to see the faiway from the majority of tees.
Sole destroying at times, but fantastic most of the time as the stunning scenic beauty is something else.

I've played most if not all the so called "best" courses in Scotland and to me this is the best. As you would expect it's always a challenge. It's a pity it wasn't a bit longer as it would be an ideal British Open venue. Always in first class condition. This is true links golf at it's very best.

Wonderful but difficult course that requires a solid tee game.
We played a few days after the Walker Cup and the course was in perfect condition. It was 100 pounds but Very worth the price
