Winter Gardens are cool if you've not been before! Check opening times first though. Didn't realise they were re-doing parts of it, it's starting to look a lot better.

The renovated park has a lot to offer even in the winter with walks through the newly planted shrubs and borders and a viewpoint to climb. Then when you are ready for a warm up there is the contrast with the colour and heat in the glasshouses. Lovely seasonal plantings including masses of intensely coloured cyclamen which are breathtaking in their brightness even in winter. Great variety of plants and conditions from round the world. You come out ready to face the greyness of Aberdeen again.

brilliant for kids, plenty play areas, but also wide open spaces, my grandson (3) has a great time every time we go

Considering the shortage of quality green spaces in the centre of Aberdeen, Duthie Park's proximity to the city centre and the quality of the park comes as a bit of a surprise. It's large offering enough routes for running, cycling and skating. There is a pond and a cricket pitch within the grounds and there are a number of areas for children to play in.
