This is a beautiful spot ,approximately half an hr from Aberdeen. The turquoise sea and the overhanging cliffs...impressive and majestic , with a touch of adventure. The rock formations and the collapsed sea cave vaguely reminds you of the capri islands. Cliffs are home to lot of birds, and you can see seals too..

I went with my husband aand two sons, aged 8 and 11.safety is an issue if kids run and climb as any carelessness while walking across the cliff edge can be perilous. There are no rest rooms or comfort zones, no place to get food or water,so be prepared. Car park is free and only a short walk from there takes you to the spot..Avoid going on a rainy day as path can be slippery. You may end up being the only people there, it's not a busy place.

You can also explore small village of ellon ,crudeness bay and slains castle which are all close by.

Not for the faint hearted - there is one small section with very narrow path. Dangerous during strong winds. Not and never for kids. But a beautiful sight...

Good walking shoes are a must. Parking is good. Cliff walks and views are fantastic as are the many nesting birds on the cliffs. Not advisable if you don't like heights.

It is not for the ones who are afraid of heights, however it is interesting to see. There are a lot of birds, sometimes you may even come across their eggshells if you search. Definitely be careful with kids, or maybe better not to come with too little ones.

This collapsed sea cave is a haven for marine birdlife, and well worth a short walk from the small car park. After walking past several former fisherman's cottages and along a narrow path, the view of this natural wonder is spectacular.
