Ah, one of those fabulously life-affirming days you think have been lost in the depths of time: An affable host; really good coffee (no, really - I think this is possibly the best coffee I've had in Aberdeen - no scalded coffee grains as per the usual chain culprits); and good food. Took my wee boy (18 months) for our regular trip - it's such a treat on a Saturday morning! A really good bacon roll, cooked just crispy, a large latte for me, and a cup of warm froth for the loon. Absolutely faultless service - travelling with a toddler isn't the most mess-free of activities, yet we we warmly received, even after the accompanying mess! Affordable, enjoyable and pleasurable - you don't put those three words together often in Aberdeen. Marvellous!

It's looks a small everyday cafe, and at lunchtime gets super crowded - for a reason. The pictures of Roma and the aroma of home made soup and rolls and sandwiches work up your appetite.

The engineer turned cafe owner makes sure you feel his passion for food in every bite you take.

The food here was surprisingly good for an unassuming little cafe. Had soup at 3.50 which was excellent. Coffee is also excellent (passes muster with my South American husband who calls british coffee black water.) Staff are also very nice and friendly. What does let it down is the atmosphere very small and uncomfortable and in need of a refurbish. Not a place to lounge in for long which is a shame as ticks the rest of the boxes.

Two weeks in a row we visited CC and both were excellent - owner even remembered us and our coffee/tea order !! - very welcoming indeed.
Had a mixture of paninis and cakes with coffee and tai chi tea - all excellent inc. service with free papers to browse.
There will be breakast paninis on the menu soon too.
Will definitely return soon and hope they introduce loyalty cards for the regulars :> )
