My wife and I stayed at the property for 2 nights as part of a group. The property is well located. Breakfast was good. The room itself was average size. There were some hallway noises; be aware. The mattress was not comfy at all. Staff was helpful.

The location is close to a busy street, but oddly enough it was difficult to find a place to eat after 6PM on Sunday.

Be aware that the lobby is now undergoing a face-lift.

Stayed here overnight on a business trip. It was about a 30 min taxi ride from the airport (£17) and was well located for the city centre. I had room 234, it was at the end of a corridor really quiet. Room was a good size comfy double bed and nice pillows, effective air con and a good sized bathroom with bath and overbath shower. Couple of amenity kits, shoe shine sponge, sewing kit etc. breakfast was lush, usual hot fayre and continental selection, but nicely done. Impressed that you could have had it in your room for no extra cost! Also could have fresh milk delivered to your room. Everyone was really friendly and although there was remodelling of the reception area, the hotel functioned well. Would certainly return. had an evening meal at the weatherspoons opposite, hmmmm was ok but only just.

Room Tip: 234 quiet and a bit of a view

Double room booked but only 2 single beds pushed together. Room service menu better and more extensive for breakfast than dining room menu. Clean room and bathroom but small. Only use if you can get a deal as not worth full price. Staff not helpful or particularly friendly and not interested in tracing an item which had been left behind.

Stayed one night here for a leisure trip. Check in was very easy with a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The room we were given was 417 and it was perfectly adequate. It was clean, roomy and the bathroom was clean and looked recently refurbished. As is normal nowadays only minimal toiletries are provided.
Breakfast the next morning was a buffet with plenty of options both hot and cold. Restuarant cheerfully decorated and staff friendly and efficient.
We did not eat dinner in the hotel but within 10 minutes walk are a variety of restuarants and pubs including Wetherspoons across the road.
Overnight there was a bit of street noise but not too bad. Although the location is handy for the centre of town and restuarants it is not a really scenic location. The only problem we found was parking. Although there is a public carpark below the hotel it is constantly full, I think by workers. So if you arrive before 5pm like we did you have to wait for a vacancy as there is little street parking close by. Also the parking is £12 overnight not £8 as listed on their webpage.
The walk in rate for a room is £360, it is not worth that. We paid £95 for B and B on the web. Its worth that much.
