So nice to visit a hotel which does the basic so well. Not flashy or super lux, but bright, modern rooms and public spaces, a good breakfast, friendly and efficient staff and well located for the city centre.

Modern, clean and very well situated hotel accommodation at a very competitive price for Aberdeen City Centre. Room spacious and contemporary in design with everything you need for a short break. Reception and Bar Staff very friendly and helpful when asked for assistance and recommendations. The prices of drink in the hotel bar were reasonable for its location compared to some of the bars on Union Street.

We found the service at breakfast could be better, had to ask waitress for coffee after having been seated for some time, breakfast was reasonably good however after the small amount of scrambled eggs on display at the hot plates had been used up this was not replaced until a waitress was informed , some 10 minutes later the eggs appeared however people were eating their breakfasts minus the eggs. This situation could be improved upon.

We had a room at the front of the hotel (Room 307) and did experience some street noise from people returning home from nearby Clubs and Pubs in the early hours, however that is to be expected in a City Centre location and was not unexpected.

This aside a very good hotel, which is modern and well appointed throughout with smiling helpful staff.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel are opposite a Wotherspoons Public House, and you will experience st...

Very good modern hotel.
Accomodation of very high quality. Meals are of a very high standard, and staff are all very helpful. We were full after our 2 courses,at our evening meal, and the staff were happy to bring our dessert up to our room, an hour later, at no extra charge. Infact you can heave room service at any time, free of charge. Thats what I call service! Veggie options available at breakfast, though you may have to ask for them.
Hotel just minutes walk from Aberdeen city centre.
Have been here twice, for weekends, and going back in a few weeks for a third time.
This time with friends.

Room Tip: Some rooms have lovely views over city, sea etc.

Stayed at this hotel back in May when I was up in Aberdeen for the weekend. I got an amazing deal on the internet, £41 for a double room per night (room only). The hotel is just off union street and close to many shops, bars and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and efficent in all areas of the hotel, and they whole place is very clean and tidy. I never had breakfast or dinner at the hotel, as plenty of other options round about the area. Bar prices are ok for a city centre hotel but again, plenty other options a few mins walk away. Rooms are a good size and all you need for a weekend away. I would recommened this hotel, especially if you look on the internet for a really good rate!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from Justice Mill Lane (Noisey at night)

Great hotel to use in Aberdeen , a block from union ( as close as you want to be at night). Very clean, friendly staff even if the queens isn't their native tongue. Bar is ok for a budget hotel and breakfast is good. Great value if you hunt around or even just ask, found rooms for £80 (double no bfast), which I thought was pretty good. Hotel is NEXT to good parking but not guaranteed, also some nice bars near by if you stay off Union.

I was quite impressed with this hotel during my recent stay for business in Aberdeen. This will not be one of my longer reviews, which reflects the fact that there was not a huge amount to comment on i.e. it was all pretty satisfactory.

I cannot really comment on the overall value for money as it was paid for by my company. Check-in was efficient, the room was clean, modern and comfortable. I thought the breakfasts to be quite good. Ample buffet selection including continental options, and a selection of made to order items available each morning i.e. kippers etc. Location is also good for the centre of Aberdeen, although it is some way from either of the main energy business areas of town, so if that is where your work is book your taxi early to avoid the worst of the traffic.

Check-out was slightly chaotic but this was probably due to the shear numbers that were checking out at the exact same time. The lift capacity is also a bit small for busy periods. Biggest drawback for me personally was the extortionate bar prices. There are numerous bars right on the hotel's doorstep that are a fraction of the cost.

Anyway, as I say I was perfectly satisfied with my stay, and would consider staying here again including as a private guest, depending upon the rates.

For £210 per night i expected more. basically a travellodge with a bar. clean, tidy, nice staff but far to expensive for what it is. location is good as its central.
Would recomend the travelodge next door or for the same money malmaison or marcliff
