A cathedral full of interest and history. Some beautiful wall mountings including the war memorial. Superb choir and the remembrance service is always a special experience. Hosts many social and choral events. Well worth a visit or a worship experience.

I went on open doors day. My previous visit had been such a sad occasion as it was the funeral of a friend. The day of the bell ringing was lovely - a welcome as I entered and straight up the stairs for an introduction to bells , including a demonstration, then the chance to ring one myself. Amazing. Can't describe it. Was walking on air for the rest of the day. wow.

Very calm place, very monumental. Though, as most of churches in Scotland, it stands in the middle of some cemetery - it doesn`t leave any sad feelings. Friendly and helpful workers of cathedral - can provide short tour inside, but even without the tour, it`s very interesting, and quite helps to understand Methodists church.

Its free, but can make a donation and you should.
Inside has some stunning woodwork, architecture.
Bit out the way but can combine with a walk in the nearby gardens.
There is some parking spaces available.
