“Better than a fancy spa!”

Don't go wasting money on expensive spa trips or hotel rejuvenating weekends. Book a week in The Bothy and your batteries will be fully recharged! A beautifully restored stone barn with huge stone windowsills, exposed red brick and wooden beams. The picture window sunroom is so relaxing and when it rained on our last day we were ecstatic as it gave us a great excuse to light the fantastic fire. A warm welcome pack greeted us on arrival and Daniel was on hand and full of craic. We wanted to spend some family time together relaxing and this special place hit the spot. Hope to return soon and tackle some of the walks in Gortin Park.

“Fantastic Stay, Would Highly Recommend”

My husband, son and I stayed at The Bothy for 3 nights at the end of March and had the most wonderful time. The view is spectacular and the cottage is absolutely beautiful, the pictures on-line do not do it justice.

It was also the little things such as fresh farm eggs, fresh cut flowers, a welcome basket with butter, milk, bread, jam, tea, coffee and sugar, and a pack of turf for the fire that really added to the experience. No detail was spared.

The owner is so very friendly and helpful, we would highly recommend staying here if you are ever in the area and hope to be back soon!

“Great Place. Great Hosts.”

Spent four nights at the Bothy in Rousky Northern Ireland in September 2013. Truly a first class cottage rental. No hesitation in recommending it to other travellers. Views are great. The property is modern and clean. The owners live across the road and are also great people. Their objective is to make our stay as comfortable as if we were at home...in fact, he wanted us to think of the cottage as our home while we were there. Great visit to the farm. The location may be a little out of the way for some people but that adds to the charm and tranquility of the cottage. Although Rousky has no amenities, there is a great restaurant (and food store) just down the road in Gortin.

The Bothy is an oasis in a breathtakingly scenic area. From the outside you might miss one of the highlights of County Tyrone, but just stop, look, and breath in, and the Bothy won't disappoint. The moment you arrive the owners had fresh flowers around the house, luscious strawberries, brown bread, coffee, tea, jam to die for and everything you need to immediately relax and enjoy the setting. The house is spotless, the facilities are great and the hospitality is second to none. The area is great for cycling, hiking, and just driving to take in the marvellous views!
