“If you like your food burnt this is the place for you.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2014

A party of 14 of us arrived for a meal last night (pre booked). We waited a long time for our food, and it was almost inedible. A number of us had hake goujons which were burnt black. The service was poor and we certainly won't visit or recommend it to anyone.

“excellent food and entertainment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

Friday night is country band night and dancing. Great atmosphere. Staff very friendly, very clean. Rooms available at reasonable prices. Family run establishment. So if you are looking for a great nights craic on a friday night the mellon is the place to be. They also do weddings.

“Felt like an inconvenience and the food was nothing to write home about!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014

Called in on our way home after a day trip. Our welcome from the waiteress outside the door smoking was actually reasonably friendly. That same friendliness was not to be matched in through the door. From the minute we entered we were made to feel like an inconvenience. Every member of staff as rude as the last. The lady who sat us was as rude as hell threw menus on the table without uttering a word or offering us a drink. When an order was eventually taken including drinks. The bar man walked up and without a word "plonked" on our table without identifying the coke and diet coke. trying to catch the mans attention was next near impossible, I wished for my girlfriends glass not to have yesterdays guests lipstick on it. I got up and walked to the bar and asked the bar man to change the glass and to help identify which was diet and which was not. The bar man and waitress then began playing the blame game ......disgraceful display of team working!! The second diet coke was also in a lipstick stained glass - pathetic!

Anyway the food began coming out, and the starter wasn't bad I must admit but then I had soup so its pretty hard to mess up. My girlfriends prawn and salmon starter wasn't the best ever but you could live with it.

The main came out turkey and ham dinners with burnt roasties and bone dry turkey with a mouthful of gravy to accompany! Just not great. The veg was bland and flavourless.

I did not enjoy the food or service. Will not visit here in a hurry there is a much better McDonalds in Omagh - and I'm not kidding when I say that!
