A great way to see the Foyle river and waterfronts....a great sense of pupose achieved, as you observe so many peole from previously separated sides of the City, commuting and passing to & fro freely.....and a very approprriate way to visit the amazing space of the old Ebrington barracks, converted to a public venue open space, to the highest architectural restoration standards.......not to be missed

The day we crossed the bridge, there was a wedding fare and a band playing in Ebrington Square and there were loads of people about creating a great atmosphere.

I had not visited the city for a number of years. Crossing this beautiful bridge, I was struck by the different aspect to the city. The construction reminds me of being on board ship. Bridge-building in every sense is a vital part of life in Northern Ireland and nowhere is this more evident than in Derry/Londonderry. On a changeable October day, the bridge was much in use and was being photographed from both sides. I would recommend a visit, especially if, like me, you haven't visited the city and its environs for a few years.

A lovely bridge to walk over and explore both sides of the city. Take some time to sit down half way across to admire the views.

Just knowing what this bridge stands for and the short time in been in existance is sobering and impressive. Plaques along the bridge give a good explanation.
