this was our first time at this restaurant-it will not be our last visit. The menu is very different to what you would usually find locally. it was most definitely a new eating experience for us. We had wood pigeon and ravioli for starters and both a fillet of beef and sirloin of beef as mains. The quality of the food was exceptional. The presentation was faultless. I can honestly say I had the nicest fillet of beef ever. It was cooked to perfection and the mix of flavours on the plate were beautiful. We could not fault our meal at all. The restaurant was fully booked but the service was fantastic. All staff we spoke with were extremely polite, knowledgeable and engaging. Unfortunately, we didn't know any of their names. I would most definitely recommend this as a special night out. It was an expensive meal as we did have starters, main, dessert and wine but it was well worth the treat. If I had to give any constructive criticism, it would be that as we were fairly close to the kitchen area and it was towards the end of service, the noise from the corner where the staff were drying the cutlery was quite noticeable but only for a small number of tables I would imagine. But it would not put me off going back as food and the overall customer service more than made up for this tiny point-a superb meal and restaurant.

Been twice now and can't wait to return again. Food was really really good. Service was excellent. All the staff are great.. Professional & extremely well mannered. The 3 courses for £20 is exceptional value. Cant wait to go back. Well done!

I ate here recently for a friends birthday and overall really enjoyed the experience. I liked the clipboards that were used for menus -bit quirky although cumbersome for larger groups. All the starters were really good -scallops delicious! Main courses however had some problems. The lamb dishes were not very warm and one had cling film still around it on the plate. The manager was very quick to respond and apologise for mishap. Also the salmon looked quite raw and had to be send back but again all dealt with quickly and efficiently. The duck and steak dishes were really good and enjoyed by everyone. The service we received was excellent from start to finish and couldnt find fault with any of it. One thing I would say is that it is slighty expensive therefore not your every day restaurant -more of a special occassion place. It is fine dining, smallish portions but worth the treat.

Was planning to take in Brown's on the other side of river during trip to Derry after reading positive reviews, was heading for Peace Bridge when we lucked across the city option which we didn't know existed. Looked a bit knowingly stylish at first, early evening diners split between business groups and elegant ladies who lunch. But it was much less of a walk and we had done a lot of walking, so what the heck.
Welcome was warm and professional, set dinner option three courses for £20 excellent value for money. Fresh flavours, well-judged portion sizes and combinations, we often fail to make dessert stage these days but here we were ready and waiting. Chocolate nemesis sounds like an Alton Towers ride but was a melt in mouth moment, plum and almond tart a very grown - up treat. Reasonable wine list with half bottle options. Minor grumbles - baby leeks always need about a minute more than you think, and the best dishes in the world are let down by a lukewarm plate. Otherwise really enjoyed it, and my feet appreciated the respite too.
