We stayed for 3 nights at the start of April and after we got over the disaster of the first day ( the charge for our first night was refunded and the problem dealt with by the excellent receptionist at check-out, not by the guy on duty on the day ) the rest or our stay was fine. The room was very clean and was well serviced during our stay, bed comfy, we both slept pretty well. The vast majority of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast every morning in the Brewers Fayre was varied, plentiful and tasty and the staff friendly and helpful, it was the same when we ate here in the evening, no complaints at all. This was our first stay in a budget hotel and we would definitely stay again.

We ate here after Christmas around January and Febreaury 2013, After the Derry Premier in opened we went along a few times to try it out the restaurant. The first time we ate of the normal menu, food was good, hot and good sized portions, we had fish and chips and scampi and chips, nice friendly atmosphere, warm and cosy. Second time we ate of the '2 for £10' menu and again the food was good quality, hot, slightly smaller portion of chips but the main fish or burger was the same size, probably the best value and quality so would defs eat of this menu again. The thrid time we went along in february was for the buffet, 'Fish shop' night. Selection of fish, chicken, burger like thing? chips, bread sauces etc, This is a case of what you see and pay for is what you get, probably the lowest quality food, again you get what you pay for 6.95. Was ok but would not eat of this menu again fish was not white nor flaky as would have expected more of a mushy type, did not taste great, chick was small half chicken portion, more pigeon sized portion? I personally prefer the full menu or the 2 for 10. ( i have ate of other Premier inn buffets (curry night and was also disappointed.) So would always go for the main or 2 for 10

There was 7 girls stayed here on a hen doo, it was clean very comfortable and the staff were so friendly welcoming and very helpful and gave best advise anytime we needed to leave the hotel they booked our taxis. I couldn't of been happier!!! And the rest of the group totally agreed. Can't wait to stay again.

My stay at the Premier Inn Derry / Londonderry was a nice one.

Room: new clean room – but noise from the room (thin) walls and ceiling can be irritating from neighbouring guest

Staff: very helpful and polite

Value: cut-rate if you book in advance

Location: good for passing through Derry. Not so good if you want to be near the Derry City Centre.

Derry City Centre:
- Walking 2.5 miles / 45 minutes through Rossdowney Road then crossing the Peace Bridge
- Taxi 5-8 minutes / £4 one-way
- Translink Ulsterbus FY02 15-20 minutes / £1.50 single; bus stop is around the corner of the Premier Inn (Summer Meadow Manor), but be wary of the bus timetable.

City of Derry Airport: 10 minutes in a taxi from City Cabs at the cost of £11 one-way.

Shopping: a convenient Costcutter next to the Premier Inn supplies most essentials.

More Shopping: If you take a right turn on the A514 carriageway and walk about 10-12 minutes towards the Crescent Link Retail Park (McDonalds, Subway, Tesco Express, M&S Simply Food, Boots, etc). If you turn left on the A514 and walk about 20-25 minutes towards Lisnagelvin Centre (Tesco Extra, Primark, etc).

Enjoy

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor rooms as the noise from the above levels are annoying

Stayed overnight at this hotel with family. Very friendly reception, bedroom and bathroom were spotless, bed was very comfortable. Had problems with the guests next door and it was not rectified until about 3am so lost a lot of rest. Excellent buffet breakfast but hot food was not served until 8.30 although we were told 7. Great parking. Would definitely stay here again as I feel we might have just been unlucky with our neighbours!!

Hotel staff are very friendly and informative. Room was comfortable and clean. Good choice of channels on the TV. Bathroom was spotless and so was the bedroom. Lovely duvet you could snuggle into! Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Derry/Londonderry area.
