We enjoyed our stay at the Saddlers House. Joan and Peter were very welcoming and gave us good information for seeing Derry and recommendations for dinner. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, featuring Joan's homemade yogurt. We especially enjoyed the sitting room with a computer for guests. The location is ideal. Highly recommended. We would gladly stay there again.

There was a lovely warm welcome by Joan. She immediately made us feel at home and although parking can be a bit problematic, it was sorted promptly. Special Victorian house - built circa 1870. Breakfast was full of home made goodies - yummy.

Stayed for one night and really enjoyed it. Joan and Peter were welcoming and gave us excellent advice on what to see in the city. Location is very handy for doing a wee circuit of the city and you ca walk to most of the places of interest in under 10 mins. Breakfast was extensive and tasty! The whole house was an beautiful place to stay for a night.

Our host was very helpful in helping us find where to go and what to do. (more than any of our other hosts). Breakfast was the best - great berry jelly. Good breads too. Of course the bacon was - as always - great. Location is great - a couple blocks from main part of city and walls. Parking free right outside the door. Some road noise at night. Bathroom was very tight. Overall, very good experience.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in July 2012 and were pretty disappointed. Our room (no.5) was tiny with very little space to move around and only a small double bed. There was just enough drawer space, but the only provision for hanging clothes was a few hooks on the wall. Bags were pushed under the bed – there was no where else to put them. The bathroom was small but adequate. We were not impressed to find that three of the five milk cartons in the room were months past their 'use by' date and had gone off, nor by the fact that we had to ask for a second bath towel as only one had been provided. The breakfast itself was fine, but the breakfast room was inadequate for the number of guests and although we were lucky, other guests were left waiting for 20 minutes or more until a space became available. There's a PC for the use of guests, which we appreciated, though with an old keyboard that has lost all its letters. On the plus side, Saddler's House is very conveniently located for the centre of Derry and there's free on-street parking outside. However, we certainly wouldn't stay there again.
