A really good visit which was made so special by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. The building is wonderful and rich in history. The cafe is also very good. The staff should be commended for their excellent helpful work.

“worth seeing”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

The cafe outside with views of the river is run by well-known and liked Donegal chef is worth a visit, as are the public spaces on the ground floor for interactive info on the city. There are pretty stained glass windows here too that you could include in a themed walk around the city's historic buildings

I thoroughly enjoyed the stained glass windows and the exhibit on the Ulster Plantations. The upstairs was inaccessible due to renovations.

“Big difference”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

This is much greater place to be than it was before it was redone. I think it is an amazing place to walk about and look at the fountians at night when they light up it is amazing looking. I walk through it every day just to see how well cleaned it is and well looked after by the public, the kids playing and messing around in the water its great to watch the smile on peoples faces.

“19th-century gem that has been wonderfully restored”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Definitely should be visited when visiting Derry city. I was here today as there was a Christmas craft fair. The stained glass windows are a joy to observe - even Harry Clarke would have been impressed.

There's a small Plantation exhibition on the ground floor; it could be a little livelier, but most people seemed to find it interesting.

A stunning building inside and out.
