“Double decked awesomeness ”
Review of Craigavon Bridge

I have to agree with previous reviewers on the effectiveness of the Craigavon Bridge. It excellently connects two banks of the River Foyle and facilitates traffic crossing. Drier than swimming, cheaper than flying, this impressive double decked piece of civil engineering is as much cultural landmark as it is vital infrastructure. Resplendently bedecked in a particularly fetching shade of retro blue which brilliantly evokes thoughts of times gone by (particularly the late 80s,) this river crossing is an essential part of any visit to the Maiden City, unless you just want to gaze longingly at it from across the water. For the ultimate experience, go over on the top deck and come back on the bottom.

Joins one side of the river to the other. Double deck structure, which may have been unique at the time. Probably has more history connected with the recent troubles than any great historical significance. Useful if you need to cross the river.

Its a Double Decker, half expect Gene Hackman to come running along. Use the bottom no one else does. Both levels go both ways. Its quite an old bridge too.

What can I say? It's a double deck bridge which facilitates the passage of pedestrians and vehicles from one side of the Foyle to the other. Where would be without it? Well, in a boat probably. It seems very nice. Oh, and it's free. And if you're on the bottom deck and your car is suitably equipped, it makes your headlights come on automatically. Sweet.
