We had the pleasure of staying at Arkle House for 3 nights in June. Our extended family has lived in town for years, but now that we're all grown up, couch surfing isn't ideal when coming to visit. At the recommendation of my aunt we contacted Terry and Sally, who were just lovely to work with from day one. Terry even noticed a discrepence in my online reservation, and quickly emailed to confirm, and rebook the proper dates/number of room.
The house is beautifully decorated, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and you feel like a member of the family, rather than a room number to the concierge. We enjoyed chatting with our hosts, the big traditional Irish breakfast every morning, and free internet access. Overall Arkle was a great alternative to a hotel down town, and I will recommend it to anyone else looking for a place to stay in Derry.....with 30 first cousins, someone will certainly need to stop in at some point!
