4 girls booked a 2 bedroom penthouse apartment 4 a nice night out in derry after handing our dissertations in. Had a lovely night out and came back to the aparthotel and went to bed. At half 6 in the morning 2 men came thru our balcony doors having gained access from the multistorey car park and walked into one of the bedrooms an wer extremely aggressive. I came out of the other bedroom after one of the girls in the first bedroom rang me only to find they had tied a scarf to their door handle and the other end to a chair so as they cudnt get out. After releasing the scarf and going into the kitchen dinnette i found the 2 men sitting at the kitchen table having a drink with their feet up on the table!! Once told the police wer on their way they ran from our apartment. Once the check in period finished there is no member of staff in the building if anything goes wrong... no security guard and balcony doors which do not lock. Spent most of the next day at strand road police station. Funny thing is.... the young man who stated he was the manager was not very professional and stated that he had got 2 the bottom of it. Two boys renting an apartment opposite thought they had come home to their own appartment after losing their key. He didnt realise the police wer on their way. Why did the two men tell us that their friend who owned the appartment had invited them to a house party in this room and that they wernt f**kin leaving! The so called manager had a name ( probably made up) but no telephone number, hesitated telling the police wat age they wud have been and said he thought their adress was ****. Not computerised record of them at all. Does not add up!!!! 4 girls were in a very vulnerable position that night. Thier security leaves a lot to be desired. While the manager was very apologetic and gave a full refund i would not recomment these apartments. Sorry to say so. :-(

Room Tip: check out if there is any security at night especially in self catering apartments. I would also adv...

Really good value and very helpful and approachable staff. We were booked in for a long weekend first time visit to Derry with a hire car to worry about. The parking is great and secure and as it was a quiet time of year we were able to leave the car there on the final day until we were ready to drive back to Belfast. The apartment was all that was needed for a short stay when you are not going to be spending a lot of time in it. It was clean and warm with plenty of hot water. Not a huge apartment but big enough for two although we had a second [single] room. We ate out apart from breakfast but if we had wanted to cook then the kitchen was well equipped with enough pans etc to make meals. Fridge and freezer and dishwasher all worked with a couple of dishwasher tablets and complementary shampoo/soap to tide you over. TV was a bit elderly and channel reception not brilliant but if you want to watch TV, stay at home? No hairdryer so you would need to pack your own. We were on the road side of the building which means the view wasn't pretty but it was quiet enough with the double glazing. A pleasant 10 minute walk along the quays into Derry and the walled city and a quiet walk back in the evening. Easy access to routes out of the city for trips to the Causeway etc. Wouldn't look to book anywhere else if we went back to Derry.

Room Tip: If you could get a waterside room you wold have a good view but I suspect it would be more expensive...

I stayed in BT48 Apartotel for one night. The staff member who checked us in was very welcoming and friendly. We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment for no extra price. When we were checking in, we were told that check-out time was twelve pm the next day but that as there was no one checking into our room, we could stay on a couple of extra hours if we wanted. The apartment was superb- Very clean and the facilities in the room were ideal. The multi-storey car park attached ensured our car was safe and also made it extremely handy for bringing our belongings to and from the car. The location was perfect- it only took about five minutes to walk into the city centre. I would highly recommend it.

Lets start with a few good points.great location, cheap price for a penthouse, car parking.
So heres the bad points.quiet a list.first of all the manager who i was dealing with on the phone is not a nice person and gonna cost this business a lot of money.cannot deal with customers.manager asked me to give him a ring 30 mins prior to arrival but as i was driving i had no chance to ring or get my phone as it was in my case.when we arrived i have gave the manager a ring and I GOT SOME TELLING OFF! for not ringing in time!
7 DAYS CANCELATION POLICY! any 3+ star accomodation has a 24 hour cancelation policy!
pure money grabbing.the whole building was empty.its deffo not a 5 star aparthotel.it was clean but absolutely freezing obviously coz the place hasnt been used in ages.rust on kitchen utencils.
bathroom spotless.lighting in rooms not great at all.4 girls trying to get ready.disaster!
oh and my bed was horrible.this cheap single bed was very uncomfortable.so all in its a good cheap accomodation for partying.deffo not 5 star.but guess its £100 a nite so cant expect much

Ideally situated. Man at reception made me feel as if I was a bother to him upon checking in. A smile would have been nice! Apartment 4 on Level 1 has seen better days although very well equipped with cutlery glasses etc. Tv was an old fashioned one with a digi box but we could not get it to work. Foyle taxis across the street were very punctual and friendly drivers got us around the city on a wet and windy night. Staying here was cheaper than a hotel and was fine for an overnight stay! Would stay again but would advise owners not to advertise it as 5 star as this certainly is not the case!!
