“Lovely stay.”
Reviewed October 28, 2011

My wife and I stayed here for one night on their midweek DBB rate. Lovely room, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Friendly staff and and a short taxi ride into town. Recommended.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here on Saturday night, check in was speedy and efficient, we were advised the restaurant was busy and we should book. Our room was great we were upgraded. We made a reservation for dinner, we were not very hungry so decided on something light, my boyfriend had the scampi - delicious. I had the Caesar salad, unfortunately it wasnt great, I didnt complain though. Breakfast was fab, a self service buffet, very impressive. This was my second time to stay here and I will definately be back, I will stay longer the next time though!

My partner and myself chose the Everglades hotel for our monthly saturday night dinner out at the beginning of october. The hotel was beautiful, very nicely decorated, we had booked our table for 7.30pm and it was ready on our arrival, the dining room was large and comfortable, and pleasantly warm, with a lively atmosphere. We dined from the sizzle and sip menu which was very reasonable, offering 2 courses and a bottle of wine for £30, the menu was exciting with local fresh produce and the food was delicious. The highlight of our visit was the wonderful service from the friendly table staff and maitre'd. After dinner we went through to the comfortable piano bar to finish our wine and listened to a really good jazz singer, all in all a really wonderful evening

We done the research to look for a hotel in the Londonderry or Co. Donegal border area and eventually chose this one. We always knew about this hotel but never stayed there. As part of the Hastings Group we were swayed towards this one. A nice distance out the city centre overlooking the River Foyle but not far out for driving. On arrival first impressions were good and the reception staff were welcoming. Bedroom at the rear of the Hotel was decent in size, only problem was the windows had no double glazing, which were very drafty. Glad we specified a room at the rear otherwise there could have been road noise at the front of the hotel from the main road. Bathroom decent size but maybe could do with a little updating i.e new door, stand alone shower, but did not put us off. Food was the major point, what a surprise we got! Truly excellent. Breakfast was superb, high quality and good variety with northern irish produce...every single piece of food on offer locally produced and named, a very nice touch. Evening meal was another excellent choice. Presentation of each course of the highest standard and tasted like 5 star quality. We have eaten in a lot of 4 & 5 star hotels and restaurants in Northern Ireland and abroad, the evening meal we had that night rated amongst the top if not thee top for a long while. An excellent choice of Hotel for us. Thank you.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the rear of the Hotel...a little less noisy from the traffic.

I was looking for somewhere comfortable to spend a night during a business trip to Derry and booked into the Everglades.which was offering a very reasonable deal at under £90 for a 4-course dinner and bed & breakfast It was a long time since I had been in the Everglades and I have to say that my expectations were not that high. I arrived late, just after closing time at the restaurant, but I was welcomed warmly and the staff were just fantastic in making sure that no corners were cut in serving dinner. Food quality was excellent, with basic cooking but first class local produce.
The room was a good size, well-equipped, comfortable and spotless. A minor niggle - in this digital age, the TV station cholce and reception could have been better.
Breakfast was first class, with good variety and once again excellent produce.
In sum, accommodation was very good, food was great and the staff were just brilliant. I will definitely be back.

We spent a night here on our coach tour of Ireland. It was the nicest hotel we stayed at with comfortable, quiet rooms, clean well-designed bathrooms and friendly service. They had excellent food in the restaurant and a nice spa and indoor pool too. If you are visiting Derry, it's a great place to stay.
