The tour of The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Bushmills Distillery and the city of Derry was fantastic. My wife, daughter and I booked a taxi tour through Michael Cooper well in advance of arriving in Derry. Our guide was Christy, and the fact that he was born and raised in Derry and had first-hand knowledge and experience of all of the tumultuous history of Northern Ireland made him an excellent guide. We really enjoyed his stories and learned an awful lot of history that we would not have otherwise picked up.

The scenery was absolutely beautiful; the Causeway and Rope Bridge were among the top highlights of our whole tour of Ireland. Christy's knowledge of the struggles and history of Derry, and his personal stories and connection to the historical sites, Bogshead area, and cemetery in Derry made the tour an unforgettable experience.

We even booked Christy and his cab to take us through Belfast for a quick hour-long tour on our way to Dublin, and he provided us with even more history and personal stories of his interesting time as a young man during the struggles of the 80's and 90's in Northern Ireland.

All-in-all, we highly recommend MIchael Cooper's tour for anyone intending to visit the region.

This tour took place over two days. Michael Cooper was a great tour guide as the infomation he have was clear and easy to understand. After the tour i felt that i had learnt lots of new information that i ddnt know previously. What was great about this tour was the Michael is from Northern Ireland so that makes him more reliable and he knew what he was talking about.

I use Michael from Derry Blue Badge Guide every two years when I bring a group of university students to Derry. He is knowledgeable and provides an excellent education in the republican viewpoint of the troubles in Derry. We generally take a two hour walking tour and the students love his presentation and enthusiasm. I absolutely will continue to use his services and am considering revising our educational programming to spend more time in Derry with the confidence that we will have him as a resource.

We had never been to Ireland and had to squeeze it into a few days. So it had to be Donegal to Belfast via Derry. Michael Cooper and crew at Derry Blue Badge Guide provided the history, introduced us to the people and assured a scenic and extraordinarily stimulating tour. We felt as if the history were taking place around us. What would we have missed if we did it on our own, driving on the wrong side of the road? And everyone was so friendly, too!

My daughter and I done aday trip to Londonderry andthe highlands of Donegal with Michael. The young man who took us around Derry was very informative about the violence of the past in this town and it was very interesting to hear about how they areworking with the young people of Ireland towards a peaceful future. Michael then took us to the Donegal highland which we enjoyed immensely with his informative stories especially about our heritage.A most enjoyable day was had, I would certainly recommend Michael to friends and family if ever they venture to Northern Ireland.
