As a single traveller I stayed 2 nights at this lovely B&B, having chosen it because of the many glowing reviews on Trip Advisor: I was certainly not disappointed in any way. It actually felt like an exclusive 'boutique' hotel and certainly deserves the highest ratings possible.

I stayed in the Culmore Suite and was delighted as every detail seemed to have been thought about e.g. bathrobes and slippers; a large flat screen TV with numerous channels; good quality toiletries; a hair-dryer; a plentiful supply of tea and coffee making facilities etc. In the hall outside the bedroom, were even extra toiletries, tea bags, coffee and so on, plus a fridge stocked with fresh milk and bottled water which could be freely used!

However, the heartbeat of Troy Hall is actually Ann and Michael. They have not only renovated the house to the beautiful standard it is now at, but they run it with the intention of making each guest's stay as happy and comfortable as possible...and mine certainly was.

One previous review mentioned that the B&B was hard to find...it isn't. When you turn into Troy Park from Culmore Road, almost immediately on the left you come upon their large sign at the foot of the driveway. Just follow the driveway up, veering to the left, and you're there.

Finally, this gem won't remain hidden for too long. For what is offered, it is exceptional value for money.

This is a lovely historic home with easy access to downtown Derry and the waterfront walk along the Foyne River. Exquisite rooms, lovely living room with a wonderful breakfast room. Definitely a MUST for Ireland's North. Anne was delightful and she was amazed that I took a picture of the pretty TP in our room. Anne's husband gave us a map on how to get on our way, he also went to the information center to pick up documents we left behind, very helpful indeed.

Room Tip: All the rooms a lovely!

We recently spent two nights in this beautiful, lovingly restored house and will certainly look forward to a return visit. It is a little oasis of calm and beauty yet only a very short distance from the city centre.Everything was perfect. The spacious beautifully decorated bedroom, large bathroom with heated towel rail and piles of fluffy towels, tea making facilities and biscuits, bathrobes and slippers and also the lovely view over the garden of Troy Hall and the River Foyle. Michael and Anne are wonderful hosts and obviously take great pride in making their guests feel welcome.Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: All 3 suites are beautifully restored.

I Stayed 2 nights while working in the north west. After struggling to find a decent room in the local hotels, i came across Troy Hall. And what a find! A charming old victorian house retaining many of its original features in a lovely setting only a 2 minute walk from the local! Ann and Michael were superb hosts and looked after me well. My room was spacious, beautiful and spotless and as a result of my stay if i was to find myself looking for hotel accomodation again in Derry, i'd go for Troy Hall every time. I really enjoyed the relaxed peace and tranquility that the property offers. Couldn't recommend it enough. The only improvements i would reccomend to Ann and Michael would be to have a breakfast menu available to browse - maybe there is one i just didn't see it, i would have been nice to see what else may have been on offer (i opted for the full irish and toast both mornings). And freshly squeezed orange juice rather than orange concentrate would have it given it that final touch. My teapot was on the table for me arriving down each morning, piping hot too! A 5* B&B experience that gets 9.5/10 for me. I hope to be back!

Hell Michael,
Thank you for your very kind review. Normally we give our guests whatever they like for breakfast that's why we ask the night before, we also cook each breakfast fresh for the time requested.
Look forward to your next visit.
Best regards,
Ann and Michael.

We got 5 - star treatment when we stayed in this amazing B&B this week and as a coeliac I was blown away by the attention to detail in providing me with everything I might need. Gluten-free biscuits on arrival, special cereal, toast and sausages for breakfast made this the best coeliac-friendly experience I have ever had. The house is lovely, the rooms are fabulous and Michael looked after us so well. Go, stay and enjoy - we will be back!

Room Tip: Belmont Suite was lovely
