on my first trip to ireland (the wife had been many times previous) i was not expecting to find such a superb little b&b hidden away in the small town of newcastle.
the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, especially the wet room/shower in our "glen room"
the room has all mod cons as i believe it is a recent addition to the building.
the location is spot on as it is approx 100 yards from the main road through newcastle.
it is also very picturesque as you are surrounded by the mountains of mourne and very near the sea.
the hosts colm and frances are delightful people and very helpful in answering any questions on places to visit.they were very amenable and we quickly struck up a great frienship that was cemented over a few glasses of port and wine.
we are already making plans to return next year.
the "ulster fry" was top notch.(they will add stuff to the plate if you ask)
i cannot recommend this delightful b&b highly enough
